I reported numerous issues directly to the property manager, Stay, and their concierge immediately after arrival, providing photographs and keeping them updated throughout my stay. Although they acknowledged my complaint and advised that it was being treated as urgent, no meaningful assistance or resolution was provided before my stay ended. The apartment was located on the ground floor, which was not apparent to me when booking. This created security and privacy concerns as I was travelling with young children. The bedroom windows and living room/balcony doors were directly adjacent to the car park, meaning I could not safely leave windows open despite temperatures exceeding 30°C. Opening the windows also allowed vehicle exhaust fumes into the apartment. ● One of the bedroom windows was missing. ● Poor standards of cleanliness, including stained bedding, sticky dining table surfaces, dirty flooring, a dirty and unpleasant-smelling sofa, and an overall musty odour throughout the apartment. ● Damaged furniture, including a wardrobe panel that was broken in half. ● The bathroom sink was partially blocked and drained extremely slowly. ● During the evening, I discovered what appeared to be a cockroach on the bedroom ceiling where I was expected to sleep. This left me feeling extremely uncomfortable using the bedroom. ● The property manager advised that my complaint was urgent and would be escalated to management, but no one contacted me or offered practical assistance before the night had passed. Everything, cleanliness was awful, cockroaches found in bedroom me and my child was supposed to sleep in. Blocked sink, dirty smelly sofa bed, dirty stained carpets. sticky, stained and scratched wood flooring and all above mentioned

That it was right on the coast

The property around the outside was unkept, litter here & there. The grass was uncut, with weeds all around!

With having two children travelling with us i was happy the apartment was on the ground floor

The Internet connection wasn't the best. The noise level form other people who was staying in the building was very loud at night. And sometimes felt unsafe as a few time people tried to open the apartment door well into the night

Location and Space were 10/10 and the support

Bathroom - basin was blocked and had plunger and drain stuff below in cupboard , contact agent and was advised to use kitchen basin Place needs some serious TLC Neighbours very noisy and noise travels through the complex

Close to Southbourne and had everything I needed for my stay. Also loved that there were tea, coffee and biscuits.

The sink in the bathroom took a while to drain but the let agents provided a plunge and sink unblocker. Also the door didn’t lock automatically but that was because there were a couple of us staying and one of us came home earlier. But I wouldn’t say it was bad, more of anxiety in terms of security.

The location was great and the views to the sea were good even on the ground floor with the odd obstruction. Good TV, beds were comfortable. Nice and warm with hot water on demand. Kitchen units new, with all standard appliances working well. Good boiler for water and heating. The host was very responsive to any issues where we requested assistance. They were very easy to reach both by phone and messaging service and seemed to want to help.

The apartment is very tired looking and could do with a deep clean and redecoration. The level of cleanliness was not satisfactory; the walls were marked, the towels were dark brown (instead of white as in the photos) and did not smell particularly fresh although they seemed clean. The shower from the taps looked like it had been put in by an amateur and there was an electric shower which didn't work. The basin in the bathroom wouldn't drain and there was mould around the bath. To be fair both the basin and the mould were attended to promptly by our host when mentioned. There was no toilet roll holder. The kitchen equipment was sparse; for example no chopping board, oven gloves or corkscrew and no brush for scrubbing crockery. (There is now a chopping board and corkscrew as the host brought them along and if we'd noticed the lack of brush and oven gloves earlier on I'm sure this would also have been rectified.) Windows were dirty inside and very dirty outside. Lighting in the living room was insufficient given the size of the room. There were a few long dark hairs lying around which could have been from previous guests or the cleaners. Although likely no fault of the hosts there were some residents in adjacent apartments who spoke loudly and some who played loud music. This could have just been bad timing for us but this has been mentioned in previous reviews. Not particularly happy with a £250 returnable deposit on top of the accommodation price. Overall got the impression that despite the hosts being very attentive during the stay they are reluctant to tackle the main issues cited here which is a real shame.
