The location of the riad seemed good at first because it is a short 3 min walk to the Bahia Palace and 10 mins to the main square and the souk. However, once we had come and gone from the riad we quickly realised that the walk towards the tourist attractions takes you around 2 dangerous corners with no sidewalk an a lot of risk of being run over by scooters, bicycles and cars.

The breakfast was very basic. We supplemented it with nuts and fruit that we bought ourselves. There was coffee and tea with breakfast but only one jug of each (enough for 5-6 cups) and we were told we couldn't have more coffee when we asked for more. The riad has potential to be charming and beautiful but it is dirty and a lot of things were broken - lights that didn't work, broken shower heads, plug sockets that sparked dangerously when we tried to use them, burn holes in the upholstery, air conditioning that didn't work. It is due a lot of maintenance work. The beds and pillows are not comfortable. It would have been useful to know from the beginning that the owner wanted a cash payment for the bill at the end. It was very difficult to collect such a large sum of cash in one day.

Amazing Riad hidden in Marakech, close to the palace and Souq. Has a beautiful old charm feel, we had a family of 15 staying and then venue was perfect. I can not compliment the staff enough they were friendly, accommodating and so helpful. Just a tip, download the food app Glovo, they deliver from all the major shops close by. Again thank You to all our vacation was incredible.

We had an incredible experience at the Raid! The accommodation was absolutely brilliant, offering us the entire house to ourselves, which made for a truly private and luxurious stay. The decor and ambiance were perfect, making it feel like a home away from home. However, we did encounter a couple of issues. First, the address provided was incorrect, which made it a bit challenging to find the place initially. Additionally, there was someone present at the accommodation 24/7. While we understand that this is for guest support and security, it slightly detracted from the overall sense of privacy we were hoping for. Overall, though, it was a wonderful experience, and we’d definitely consider returning in the future!

The host was friendly, and had mint tea for us on arrival, at a time to suit us. The riad is well-placed near tourist spots and a cool and calm retreat from the hustle and bustle. Our week was 35 degrees and the riad was restful and shaded. The plunge pool, a neat place to dip your feet after souq-bashing!

It seemed the riad had not been well cleaned for our arrival. The outdoor areas were not their best. Bit of a let-down on arrival. The cleaning lady was excellent, however, and got the place in shape by the next day. The major disappointment was the kitchen, which was not well-appointed for self-catering for a group. I'm sure they prefer catering for you.
