"Great Price for the Location (But there’s mosquitoes)"

The location of the property was excellent. Easy walking distance to St. George Street, and Castillo San Marcos. We should have set our expectations based on the very low price. Management had gone to great lengths to address most of the facilities shortcomings. Room was freshly painted and very clean.

We walked into the room and it smelled moldy. There were mosquitoes flying around the room. Management went to great lengths to remedy the problem. There were a dehumidifier, two bug zappers, a fan, and an air freshener all plugged in. The stairs were narrow, steep, and the additional carpeting made them treacherous to walk on ( I only fell once). Management tries very very hard. My problem is with Booking.com giving them 4 orange dots; booking gave us unreasonable expectations because of that rating.

The bedroom with the balcony was so lovely. We love the dumb waiter and the Beautiful breakfast that was served with a smile.

Parking was a little awkward but we managed.

Close proximity to downtown St Augustine. Esther was extremely hard working and the Breakfast she prepared was cooked to order and very good !

Room too small restrooms not connected to room no closet space to hang clothes .
