Rie's Retreat - The Emerald room

What an amazingly peaceful, clean and beautiful place to stay in Glastonbury! Had everything necessary for travel, including full kitchen, very nice breakfast options and laundry if needed. The gold room was wonderful! Great big bathtub to soak after walking around all day and after traveling for five weeks, I had the best sleep here! Would definitely come back!

We had a really pleasant stay for 1 night. It was really peaceful and relaxing. The room was comfortable, clean, and bright. The bathroom was well stocked, and the bath was amazing. Rie is such a welcoming host.

There could have been a few more cereal options.

The property is in a very good location within easy reach of the High Street. You have the shared use of two reception room, both are lovely and a very nice garden to relax in the evening. We shared the bathroom with two others and it worked fine as there is a separate toilet downstairs. Huge kitchen with every imaginable utensil you could think of. Breakfast - I would recommend the home made granola any day!

Ries home was cosy welcoming The kitchen was ours to use stocked with all you could need the dining room and garden beautiful two lovely sitting rooms one with a TV the other for reading.Fantastic location near to Glastonbury town a few minutes walk..bus stop opposite to Bristol Bath Yeovil and more...quiet even though on Wells road...we had a twin room shared bathroom shower bath did not find this a problem at all.Would definitely return 😊Coffee making facilities absent from the room but plenty of supplies in Ries lovely kitchen to have at any time so not an issue.

The only thing I found for me could be better was the twin bed mattress was a little hard..I like a mattress topper but that's my preference as I suffer with back issues because of my job.

The welcome was outstanding from Helen and Rie Genuinely cared about you being comfortable and shown round the lovely property. The room had the wow factor especially the bathroom. It had an expansive walk in shower complete with eco friendly toiletries. With dual shower heads. Easy to operate with amazing pressure. Complete with a deep stand alone bathtub. Nice decorative touches added to the ambience of the bedroom and attached en suite. Nice modern shared kitchen with full array of utensils, crockery and white goods including a dishwasher and stocked fridge for the self serve breakfast. Generous dining space in large conservatory overlooking mature garden. Attracts interesting guests from around the world. Highly recommend this relaxing 'home from home' stay. Just a 5-10 minute walk from Glastonbury High Street. Walking by the Chalice Well and access to the towns famous Tor. Bus stop outside if you want to venture further afield to places such as Wells or Bristol and more. Stay here. Beautiful hidden gem x

I loved the healthy, help yourself breakfast, my warm welcome, lovely bright room, super handy location, and the abundance of well water to drink. It felt like home from home.

Rie is a great host ( we had good talks and laughs ❤️) and her accommodation is beautiful, spacious,clean with beautiful garden and short walk to town centre(5min), bus stop 50m and parking is also available at the property. Definitely recommended 5* plus. Thank you Rie.
