Mimi's Rooms - Charming Old Town

The misleading online photos.

AVOID this fraudulent place like the pest. It is completely misleading and false information is provided at every step. NO RUNNING TAP WATER TO DRINK. The room is way tinier than you'd imagine looking at these photos. There is no one on the property to check in or help with anything. A tiny staircase brings you to a common little nook which leads to three flats, the walls are so thin you can hear everything. So much for sound proofing and safety. The host will send you numerous messages, recommending restaurants etc where she possibly has some commission based arrangement, she then asks you to fill out a check in form with all your document details only then she sends you her lock codes etc. Another msg to leave 2 euro city fee! :D The host provides a 500 ml water bottle without so much as whispering anywhere that this is all the water that there is in the room. There is no kitchenette or any place with running tap water that is potable. The bathroom taps explicitly mention that it is not fit for drinking. When I called the host at nearly 10 PM, I was met with a completely rude and unsympathetic woman who said go and buy. That's it. When I asked her how could she not mention it, she goes no B&B has running water. May be she was born yesterday for I certainly was not. Anyway, even the coffee machine outside has to be filled with water only then one can get some coffee. The window and the curtains are such that they do not stop the morning light. The bed was decent, to cut them some slack, but the bedding was creased and possibly not fresh. The host is manipulative and rude. Despite all these issues and the quarrel on the phone, she texted after the check out to leave 5 stars in exchange for a 5 star client rating! LOL. There are dozens of much better located places for cheaper prices that have respectful hosts, modern amenities and top class service in the centre of the old town. I stayed in one another day.

I liked the localisation, you are in the heart of the old town very calm, that is the beauty.. Maria very organised and always disponible! There are tips where to go and what to discover. I recommend.

De locatie was echt top. Midden in het oude gedeelte van Bari met een heerlijk bed en een lekkere douche. Goed en snel contact met de host. :-)

Het is voor een nacht echt perfect. Maar voor langer is het wel wat aan de kleine kant.

Lovely location, comfortable amenities, and wonderful host who is very responsive and answers questions quickly. I would stay here again if I came back to Bari!

I liked very much the contact with Maria. She organised everything very carrefully. The location very good, you have everything around. Maria prepared different travel tips, so if you go withount any plan in your mind, be sure that you will ideas there. I tried them, wonderful! I stayed in the room withount the balcony, as an individual traveller is a good option. It was very clean.

Lovely place right in the heart of Bari Vecchia. Clean, cozy, and perfectly located on the narrow historic streets. The hosts were friendly and really made us feel at home.

In walking distance to the ferry port and we were allowed to leave our luggage there until the evening.
