Gorgeous 2 floor 3 bed Apartment

This apartment is nearly great. It’s tastefully decorated, spacious, and has real potential, but unfortunately, a long list of unresolved issues means the experience doesn't quite live up to the promise. While we were able to enjoy our stay overall—mostly because we spent our days out with family and friends—it's clear that many of the problems mentioned in older reviews still haven’t been addressed. The property could be fantastic with more attention and care, but in its current state, it falls short. Pros: 1. Tastefully decorated and nicely finished throughout. 2. Quiet downstairs basement rooms (except for noisy neighbours; see cons) 3. Comfortable beds with decent linens. 4. Spacious living areas, particularly the kitchen and lounge. 5. Interior broadly matches the Booking.com photos accurately.

1. The main window in the front room is broken. The hinge is faulty, and the window risks falling out if opened. Reported to owner. 2. The gas hobs spark constantly due to an electrical fault. The workaround is to ignite the hob and then turn off the electric supply, which isn’t ideal. Reported to owner. 3. Key collection instructions were unclear. The key could be easily missed, and we can understand why guests end up knocking on the upstairs neighbours’ door, as mentioned in other reviews. 4. The neighbours upstairs were the noisiest I’ve ever experienced. At times, it genuinely felt like they might crash through the ceiling. 5. The bathroom is the biggest letdown. At 6ft (182 cm), I couldn’t stand and shower properly. In the end, I had to sit in the bath and use the showerhead that way. 6. Mould was visible in the silicone lining of the bath. 7. We found slugs in the bathroom nearly every night. We reported this to the owners and took photos. 8. The patio is not as advertised. There’s nothing usable on it, no seating or table, and it’s dirty, overgrown, and poorly maintained, with broken drainage. 9. The blinds are ineffective. Bedrooms get very bright in the mornings. We had to use our own portable blackout curtains, which we usually do anyway, to be fair. 10. No clothes airer. The owner did offer to send me the money to buy one, though. After a couple of days, the combination of poor sleep, the cramped bathroom, and the noisy upstairs neighbours began to affect our comfort quite a bit. Location: I grew up in this exact area so I know it well. It has improved a lot over the past few decades, but it’s still not ideal. You won’t necessarily feel unsafe, but you should stay aware of your surroundings. It’s a visibly deprived part of town, and the nearby streets can feel a bit run-down. Final thoughts: Nothing outright ruined our stay. We were able to sleep, eat, and use the apartment as a base while we spent most of our time out.

Lovely decor, spacious, all the facilities required. Owner was available to answer questions quickly. Felt like a home away from home, once inside and once settled.

Location was a little dodgy for me to be alone with two kids, but generally ok. Key box is difficult to locate and would be impossible if dark. Extortionate money required to stay an extra couple of hours after check-out.

It was very clean. Spacious apartment, well equipped, good amount of towels. Internet und steaming services worked well.

We had to put them on the floor Booking.com Vs the host information/welcome pack is conflicting in terms of lockbox code and location as well as WiFi Information being different against welcome pack and the sign by the television - both the name and password are incorrect. TV is only streaming services only (which was fine for us) Glasses were not clean to use and we washed them.

This apartment was extremely well furnished and equipped. It was a decent size for the price. It was conveniently located near to the train station. The hosts were helpful with instructions.

The bathroom was a little small.

The location was good, a five minute walk to the train station to take you straight into London.
