New! Stylish 1900s Renovated Duplex Apartment Building Near Forsyth & River St

The apartment was very clean, has nice decorum and has everything you need (except a working television).

During the entire stay, the television never worked and the owner just stopped responding which was shocking because they initially had been responsive. The owners said they were going to send their technician to fix the television or they would come but they never did and stopped responding to my messages. It was very strange. I will not stay at this location again.

Convenient location within walking distance to the river boardwalk and park. The route takes you through a lot of the historic squares and you can easily detour to St John's Church. Parking is easy on the street, but there was also an available spot behind the building, but we didn't need it for our one night stay. The apartment itself was located on the second floor, involving about 20 steps. The apartment was clean and provided two large bedrooms and one small bathroom with a shower. The living room and kitchen had plenty of space and even had a washer/dryer. We forgot something in one of the drawers when departing and we were able to come back about 40mins post-checkout to retrieve those items, so that was great. The staff/owners were very friendly and communicated the check-in/check-out instructions very clearly.

The location was perfect. It was convenient to have a designated parking place behind the house. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds were so comfortable. The kitchen was fully equipped and there was even salt and pepper and olive oil. The drawers, cabinets and light switches were labeled which helped tremendously. We had control of the thermostat which was awesome because it was so hot outside. It was great having a washer and dryer. Shampoo and conditioner was provided in the shower and there was hand soap and dish soap provided. There was plenty of toilet paper, paper towels and trash bags. The decor was very pleasing and the apartment was clean and ready when we arrived.

Although the decor was lovely the chairs are not comfortable for long periods of time. The rug in the living room was quite soiled which was unappealing. We didn’t have any instructions on how to use the television so that was frustrating. There was only one ice tray so a bag of ice would have been appreciated. We sat on the front porch to watch a thunderstorm but there were only 2 chairs and 3 of us. There was no body wash or soap in the shower which I didn’t discover until I was in the shower. The water pressure isn’t the best.

Modern, updated duplex! Had all the amenities one could need. Excellent communication with owners. Felt like home

What’s not to love! No complaints

Very comfortable kitchen, nice beds, high ceilings, good interior, clean bathroom, very quiet neighbours on the first floor. That was very nice accommodation for 2days, thank you to the hosts☺️

The rooms lack fresh air because the windows don't open.

The location is super convenient and the neighborhood restaurants are excellent. The house itself is very cozy and comfortable.

Behind the bathroom door, maybe consider setting up more hooks to hang clothes/toiletry bags easily.
