GBGBGBThe house was lovely and cosy in a quiet area, perfect for a long weekend. It was easy to park in the street and was also close to a bus stop if you don’t want to walk into the city centre. We enjoyed having our breakfast in the small back garden.
There is no landing at the top of the stairs so something to be aware of if you have mobility issues.

NZThe property was everything we expected. The bathroom and bedroom size were great with the lounge and kitchen cozy. Although we did not use the outdoor area it was set up to be used and looked like a lovely place to relax. Parking was no problem for us as we were able to park right outside the property. Although it is on the street so possibly could be an issue at certain times.
Entering the bathroom from the bedroom was a little awkward as you had to step down onto a half step and then up to the bathroom this might be an issue if you had mobility concerns.
GBGBGBThe local environment and the sense of history. All facilities available if we wanted. Close by bus to town centre, which I think is very important in a city like York where one way roads take you away from where you want to go.
Nothing, although the inner stairs - part of the charm -take some negotiating, and would be quite difficult for some people, especially when arriving with luggage.
GBIt was sufficient for our needs. Good shower and quiet neighbourhood.
When I arrived the house hadn't been cleaned, dirty bed linen and towels on the bedroom floor. No bed made. I did call the host and it was rectified, just disappointed to find after a 4 hour journey. The carpet was tatty and it was a little cold but we couldn't activate the heating. Concerning that none of the electrical goods had upto date PAT testing, most were done in 2020!

It would have been good to have a guest information pack/guide in the property even if just to say WiFi code (if any), where dirty linen needed to go on leaving and what could be recycled and the day the bins should go out.
