那智の里 Accommodation along the Kumano Kodo trail

Nice location in a quiet village setting. A few minutes walk to the bus stop for Nachi Station or Kumano Nachi Taisha. Comfortable place to stay with reasonably well equipped kitchen. The stairs to Villa 2 are a little steep so maybe Villa 1 would be better if you have mobility issues.

Nice cosy matrassses. We got some nice candy, easy microwave food and coffee in the room free of charge.

The automated check-in process was pretty cumbersome. The location leaves something to be desired (There were almost no options for restaurants and convenience stores in the area) The shower didn't have a hold for the shower head above waist height.

Die Unterkunft ist originell und zweckmässig eingerichtet. Die Dusche befindet sich in einem Garagenraum ist aber sauber und heiss. Ein kleiner Snack war bereit gestellt.

Die Unterkunft war sehr schwer zu finden. Wir sahen keine Schilder. Vom Nachi Taisha muss man nochmals 5 km laufen, was nach der Wanderung sehr mühsam war. Man muss wissen, dass man die Eingangstür ohne Schlüssel öffnen kann, da das check in erst dahinter statt findet.

The whole apartment was beautifully done. Traditional Japanese style with modern comforts, and super cosy beds! The location is very remote, which means it’s really peaceful in the local area. It’s surprisingly easy to find. Easy bus to Nachi Falls!

There are limited options nearby for dinner/drinks/coffee etc but the owners are very open about that and encourage you to bring food. They also graciously left some supplies which helped us out massively.

El alojamiento era nuevo y estaba todo muy limpio. Sin embargo, al estar ubicado en una nave, la distribución del baño en diferentes plantas resultaba algo incómoda. El acceso mediante códigos tampoco fue lo más sencillo, aunque el anfitrión fue muy amable y me ayudó en todo momento. En general, una buena opción si se busca algo práctico y moderno.
