The location is perfect with the convenience of a local grocery store and short drive to start the morning at Nachi Falls. There are 3 twin western beds and traditional tatami. The shower is located downstairs, but it didn't bother or inconvenience us. The house is clean, floors are clean, and has excellent hot water for the shower. I have three kids 11, 13, 15 and they loved the traditional vibe of the home. The owner/host greeted us in the morning during check-out. It made us feel like family - home away from home. As a family, we agreed that we would stay here again.

The place is beautiful and location perfect, specially if you're doing the Kumano Kodo trail. They left mini Japanese candy for us to try. The hosts are wonderful!

Nothing really.

Picturesque village, mountains were beautiful. Nice to have both Western and Japanese style beds.

We were a group of six, and brought food to cook for dinner and breakfast. Kitchen needs more cooking items - knives, cups, a pot, cutting board.

Loved everything about this apartment! It looks like it’s new, made out of an old storage room/garage maybe? It’s well organized, clean, warm and comfy. You get an handwritten note from the owner and snacks in the fridge! It even has a little outdoor area. Would’ve loved to stay more time!

Very clean and nice space. It’s cool to have the japanese apartment experience and the snacks in the fridge and heated eye mask were a nice perk! It was great to try new things that we don’t have at home in Canada!

Great location for access to Nachisan Temple and it is in a very quite residential area. Buses are just a few minutes away or it is walking distance to the temple/waterfall. There are no restaurants or shops in the vacinity but they provide noodles for a few dollars. This is very basic accommodation but everything you need is there. The price is right for what you get and we were comfortable.

A little difficult to locate - no signage in English. There were no sheets on the bed but rather a mattress with a woollen mattress protector and a dark coloured quilt on top - we question if these were washed between guests? A clean set of white sheets would have been appreciated.

10/10 definitely recommend after your hike!
