Aito Igloo & Spa Resort

Beautiful, quiet resort out on its own so great scenery and the chance to see the Northern Lights from your room. The outside jacuzzis are amazing. The food and room service is very tasty but quite small portions for the price. I would highly recommend the snowmobile activity - Wendy was amazing! All communication with reception is through WhatsApp which is extremely easy and they reply fast. The staff are friendly. Great vibes in the snack bar with an open fire to toast marshmallows. It is worthwhile to stay one night in an igloo- truly once in a lifetime experience.

The property is lovely and has many 5 star traits. If the menus included a selection of sides in the Wildwoods restaurant I think it would supplement the smaller main courses better.

Die Lage war einzigartig! Einrichtung war spitze. Die Aussicht vom Glasiglu perfekt. Das Essen war auch sehr gut. Der Lachs am Abend der Beste den wir jemals gegessen haben. Generell war die gesamte Anlage sehr sehr schön!

Die Sauna war leider sehr kühl - ca. 55° (vielleicht nur an diesem Tag). Ansonsten aber toller Wellnessbereich! Im Glasiglu ist es natürlich sehr eng, das war bekannt (leider keine Dusche oder großes Waschbecken)

Sehr schöne einsame Lage. Wer Ruhe sucht ist dort richtig aufgehoben

Il resort e' pulitissimo, e molto ben organizzato, non ti devi preoccupare di niente, semplicemente essendo altissima stagione le escursioni e' meglio organizzarle prima di partire. l' aurora boreale e' visibile dal lago senza ricerche estreme di tutta la notte ( se ami il relax) Il prezzo che si paga e' perfettamente rapportato a quello che ti offrono senza mai dimenticate che ti trovi sopra il circolo polare artico. e' comodamente servito a Uber.

We completed the check-in online prior to arriving, when we arrived we were greeted with a Finnish hot drink and shown to our room, we had some enquiries which we were helped with and were also directed to use their WhatsApp which was an effective means of communication through out our stay. Our room was clean and tidy and had most of the essentials required, tea and coffee making facilities, a mini bar, toiletries. The room had good Wi-Fi and was warm and temp adjustable. There spa was sensational. George and the Greek gentleman (sorry I had your name written down but I cant find it begins with S) provided us fantastic back, neck and shoulder massages, a brilliant way to unwind at the beginning of our holiday, I had left my glasses and earring in my robe and they were found and returned thanks to these gentleman who went above and beyond to find them, thank you so much. Breakfast was a buffet style with a variety of options, the breakfast staff Jess and Dpencha were very friendly and very helpful. There are food options available at the resort, the Wildwoods restaurant, the Aurora bar and also room service. Jesus at the Aurora bar makes a wonderful Margarita and the special blueberry Margarita were sensational. Aito is a perfect place to see the Aurora Borealis, we were so lucky to see them on the first night from the lake, we couldn’t believe it! The hotel will also text you via WhatsApp to alert you of its presence, so another reason so ensure you are using WhatsApp with Reception. The resort has a shuttle service available, this is a brilliant way to get around and access The City, Santa Claus Village and the Airport but make sure you check times if using for your airport transfer for arrival or departure. We had a Northern Lights Hunt and Snowmobile experience booked via Aito, the guide Kate was fantastic, so friendly and knowledgeable and made both the experiences rememberable. Aito is totally magical, it is a beautiful, quiet, relaxing, winter paradise.

In the room there was not much space to hang and store items. We know the space is small but there are so ways of having some storage in the room. In the Spa there is a lack of places to hang up robes when using the facilities. No decaf tea or coffee options at breakfast.

Das Resort ist zwar weiter weg vom Flughafen/Stadtzentrum, aber für uns war die Lage super. Die Aussicht war so schön und man ist in der Nacht in den Schneeanzug gehüpft und hat draußen am zugefrorenen See die Nordlichter beobachten können. Und die Shuttleddienste fahren wirklich oft, also man konnte fast jederzeit in die Stadt/Santa Claus Dorf und wieder zurück. Das Personal war auch super freundlich und zuvor kommend. Und die Aktivitäten die sie anbieten, sind toll. Vorallem das Schneemobil fahren, dass direkt vom Resort weg geht. Spa ist okay, aber leider kein warmer Pool drinnen. Dafür sind die Whirpools draußen super heiß und schön.

Die Preise vom Essen und Trinken. Das Wildwoods Restaurant hat einen netten Charm, aber für eine Dose Cola 0,33 Liter 7€ verlangen ist echt übertrieben, dass Essen war auch überteuert aber gut. Und die "Snackhütte" war am aller schlimmsten, für eine Tiefkühlpizza 28€ zu verlangen, ist unmöglich. Und dann war sie nicht mal sonderlich gut. Also wen man hinfährt würd ich empfehlen, viel Getränke selber mitnehmen und nur ins Wildwoods zu gehen. Ich zahle im Urlaub gern mehr wen ich gutes Essen dafür bekomme, aber das ist eine Frechheit.
