21 Callanish Luxury Pod

location ideal for touring lewis & harris - right next to Calanais Stones so easy to visit day or night. Hosts available but discrete. Property exceptionally well kitted out. From kitchen utensils to maps it seemed to have everything you needed. Indeed if you couldn't find something usually it was because you hadn't looked hard enough.

Racked my brains, thought some more & still nothing to dislike

Fantastic bed, The pod is really lovely and is a beautiful location to wake up to! Sharon and Grant were excellent hosts, and there was a lovely selection of snacks and few essentials there to make sure you can have a nibble when you arrive... most notably 6 of the freshest, most free-range eggs that were fantastic! 2 min walk to the standing stones. 10/10, don't hesitate to book this luxury pod!

Can’t speak highly enough of this place. The pod is warm, comfortable, surprisingly spacious and very well equipped, in a fantastic location just a few minutes’ walk from the awesome Callanish standing stones. The owners were super friendly and welcoming (including providing home-made wine, fresh-laid eggs and other goodies) and even allowed me to stay an extra night at a reduced rate when my ferry was cancelled and I was stranded. The location really feels like the end of the earth (in a good way) but there’s a shop 10 minutes’ drive away (closed on Sunday) and you’re only 30 minutes away from the bright lights of Stornoway (also mostly closed on a Sunday).

Not one thing

The location was amazing, the hosts were amazing. The Pod was so well setup, it was the best accommodation we stayed in during our trip throughout, Scotland, Ireland and England. I would so love to come back. Sharon and Grant were so helpful with many added extras included in the Pod. The added reading information that was available in the pod about the area was wonderful. The distance to the Callanish stones was so wonderful, the peace and serenity were to die for. Seeing rainbows over the fields and the stones is a bucket list moment we will never forget. Grant had so many tips of locations to visit and his is also an amazing photographer with lots of information about the stones. So blessed we chose their pod to stay at.

There was nothing that you could not like.

Really friendly and attentive hosts. Clearly had thought out what to offer in the property and great attention to details. Being close to the Callanish Stones was a personal highlight.

The pod was beautiful, fully equipped and private. Grant and Sharon were fantastic hosts, friendly, welcoming and generous. The location is fantastic and a good launching point for exploring the wonderful Isle of Lewis.

it’s was cosy with underfloor heating, comfy bed, everything you could need plus a complimentary basket of fresh eggs, milk, bread, choco, crisps, cereals and a btl of homemade wine which was lovely.
