Lovely room above pub.

A bit noisy but stopped at 11 pm

Bedroom 2 was excellent size and so was bathroom. Had a couple of nice cocktails in the quieter upstairs bar. Have to walk up the road for breakfast, but it was lovely and you get 25% discount. Nice and close to the cathedral if you’re seeing an event there.

As others have said, the stair well leading up to the room really let it down. The carpets and decor leading to the room are awful and desperately need sorting, but the room itself was ok. In bedroom 2 it’s two singles pushed together, which was a bit of a shame as there was a big gap in the middle. The room overlooks the hard den so it can be quite noisy, which didn’t really bother us but might some. There is no breakfast at the property, you have to walk 5 minutes up the road to their sister business at the deli. But it is well worth it for the lovely food, freshly squeezed orange juice and great coffee.

Location and decor

Unkept stairway to room not very inviting, sink area in bathroom needed attention and no heating came on during the evening/night so room was very cold on our return from dinner.

Lovely room, very comfortable bed and amazing big bath. Pub has great food and drink, friendly staff and only short bus ride to Cardiff centre.

Excellent room and Bathroom and bed

Probably should be a set of blinds on the windows to keep the light out. Both the light from the outdoor lighting and the sun in the morning.

Although on the side of the road we had a back room so had no interference with noise. The room was spacious with a large comfortable bed with an adjoining equally large bathroom with modern bath and roomy shower . Very close, in easy walking distance, to LLandaff Cathedral well worth a visit. Breakfast could be taken with a 10% discount at their deli and Bakery in the village. This was excellent and again in easy walking distance.

The approach to the bedrooms via a stairs entered though the outside door needed a lot of attention to decoration which is rather off putting giving a bad first impression .The bedrooms are lovely in complete contrast . The windows cleaned in the bedroom would also have enhanced things.

The most demure room. The bathroom was amazing with huge bath and shower. Bedroom was beautifully designed. Coffee, tea, hairdryer, mini fridge all provided. Very comfy bed. Amazing offer of discount for breakfast at local partner business. Lovely area. Great staff. Lovely beer garden, everything about the place was amazing.

location was excellent for our requirements. Excellent local sister breakfast deli.

As it’s a pub, people out in garden until 1ish so noisy if you wanted to sleep early. Rooms high in loft area so very warm ( we did go on a very hot weekend) expensive but was a concert weekend so this might have inflated price.
