Old San Juan Apartment

The location was PERFECT - you are a few minutes away from everything. The AC worked really well. There were plenty of towels and toiletries available. The WiFi worked well. If you rent a car, there is a parking garage right around the corner.

The stairs are a death trap. I have many bruises on my legs from the number of times I hit myself. There is no natural light in the apartment unless you open the windows but that lets the AC out and the bugs in. There are no hooks anywhere in the bathroom so we had to hang our towels on the plant hooks in the kitchen. Shower curtain is too small. The water was never hot just warm. The bathroom light kept going in and out. There is no mirror or trash upstairs so I had to constantly go up and down the dangerous stairs every time I needed the mirror or to throw something away. You can hear everything the neighbors say, there is no true privacy.

I stayed in apartment 1C from April 13 to April 17. The location is excellent and very convenient, which was the main positive aspect of this stay. Unfortunately, the apartment itself did not meet expectations. It does not match the photos shown in the listing, which was disappointing upon arrival. Basic amenities were missing, including soap in the bathroom. The metal ladder leading to the second floor is extremely narrow and feels unsafe and uncomfortable to use. The bed is old, unstable, and very uncomfortable, as it shakes and makes noise with even slight movement. The level of cleanliness was also below an acceptable standard. In addition, although the listing states that the apartment can accommodate four guests, I strongly believe it is only suitable for two people at most. Overall, the apartment needs renovation and better maintenance to meet the standards presented in the listing and to provide a comfortable stay for future guests.

Experiencia totalmente negativa. No recomendamos este alojamiento bajo ninguna circunstancia. Al llegar, nos encontramos con que no había servicio de agua, un problema conocido y recurrente en la zona que nunca fue informado con antelación, lo cual es una falta grave de transparencia. Permanecimos más de 4 horas esperando a que el agua regresara, sin éxito. Incluso había un camión cisterna repartiendo agua, obligando a las personas a recogerla en baldes, lo que evidencia la gravedad de la situación. Adicionalmente, el internet no funcionaba, el lugar estaba sucio y mal mantenido: pisos pegajosos, utensilios de cocina guardados con restos de comida, ventanas en muy mal estado y un aire acondicionado que no enfriaba adecuadamente. Lo más grave es que, tras comunicarnos tanto con el propietario como con Booking.com a través de la plataforma oficial, se nos garantizó la devolución total del dinero debido a la no estadía. A la fecha, el reembolso no ha sido procesado, lo cual demuestra una falta total de respeto al cliente y un incumplimiento claro de lo prometido. Una experiencia decepcionante, mal manejada y que no cumple con los estándares mínimos de hospitalidad.

A la fecha, el reembolso no ha sido procesado, lo cual demuestra una clara falta de respeto al cliente.
