GBThe location was great,not far from cartmel,Newby bridge. The Lodge was lovely had everything you need .
On The haven leisure park you needed to buy a pass for activities ect ..We didn't get one as our daughter is 20 ...but would have liked access to the bar .but needed a pass ....So we didn't get to go in unfortunately.

GBA lovely spacious lodge which felt very homely. Excellent outlook and deck overlooking the lake.
Being so close to the Owners lounge as noisy in the evening with music coming from the lounge. Thought we were well away from restaurants etc. Unfortunately there was an owners event on all day Saturday in the field next to us which meant loud music from midday until 22.45. We were specifically told no parties which we would not have had but we were looking forward to a quiet couple of days. We couldn't even hear the TV inside as it was so loud. Imagine this is an annual event though so we were unlucky. Only one out of 4 bedside lamps working and we did have to clean all outside furniture as everything was covered in cobwebs.

It needed a thorough deep clean, we didn’t sit on the dining chairs as they looked filthy. The two sofas didn’t look clean. All of the window blinds were filthy and everywhere lacked a good clean. There were too many personal belongings in all the drawers and cupboards so we felt we were imposing. We didn’t like having a dog crate and it’s paraphernalia in the dining room, particularly as I am asthmatic and have COPD. Had we not traveled 3 hours to get there and queued for 40 minutes to access the property on arrival, we would’ve turned around and come home. We checked out 2 days early and feel very disappointed, particularly for the money we paid, it certainly didn’t meet our expectations.
UGGBFantastic lodge in a great location on the edge of the lake. Clean and modern and very spacious. Equipped with everything we needed for our stay. Would highly recommend as you get the tranquillity of the private setting but have all the Haven site amenities available, should you want to use them, a short walk away. Good base for access to Windermere and the central lakes.
There were no negatives that I can think of.......even the weather was fantastic..!
