Modern House Sleeps 18 or Perfect for Large Family.

The house is so nice and modernly decorated! Very spacious for larger groups and love the pool table and chalk wall for it to be personalised as a special touch.

We could only find one remote between all the TVs and I think there should be blinds in the rooms at the top of the house.

The house was spacious and well laid out. It's 10min walk from the beach and city center. It did have most appliances such as oven/dish washer/washing machine. The decor was modern, lovely light features and pictures on the wall. The pool table was good entertainment on the rainy days. There are 2 bathrooms with showers and a downstairs toilet.

The decor, although modern, was in need of a refresh - the walls could do some filling in places and a coat of paint, especially where the damp is coming through. When we got in at 3 p.m., the floors were still wet. The sofa needed a good vac as it was covered in dust and hair. Where the place had been vacuumed, there were still bits on the carpet. The kitchen had hardly any cooking pots/utensils - 1 trying pan and 1 sauce pan, both of which were mouldy. Although there were plates/cups and cutlery, those that were there were also mouldy. (I suspect this is because the cutlery drawer is under the cooker - everything had a layer of condensation after we used the cooker. The fridge was dirty and smelt like spoilt milk. We had to clean it before use. There was a hoover but no broom/dust pan. There were no basic condiments or cleaning basics such as dishwasher tablets/surface spray and very little toilet roll. The water temperature for the showers was scorching, and we couldn't get the mixer to adjust, we all ended up using the bath taps instead. The washing machine was located outside in a box, it and it wasn't the cleanest. Although the location is 10 minutes away from the beach, the street was really run down with smashed up buildings. There is parking outside, but it's 1 hour and no return within 2 hours. There are local car parks, but be prepared to factor it into your expense. The house is listed as having a garden, but it's a 2x8 patch at the side of the kitchen. It looked like it was used as a smoking area. The house is great for large parties wanting to party but maybe not so much for a family with children.

It was clean and bigger on the inside than we anticipated.

Pool table was slightly scruffy however you can’t really complain when it’s free to use.

On arrival at 15:00 for check in, we were left waiting nearly two hours to enter due to the fact that the electrical lock batteries had died - unsure why this wasn’t checked prior to our arrival. Your staff member who came to the property didn’t have a master key which meant she was also stood with us in the torrential rain and she also couldn’t contact the owner of the property. On the advertisement for the property, it says there is parking which I found to be cheeky, as it’s a pavement outside the property and it’s first come first serve on a Main Street. Once we finally got into the property, which was achieved by my friend pulling her car centimetres from the house, so the door lock could charge via her usb port, we found there was only three half rolls of toilet roll throughout the entire house for 16 girls. It was never once apparent to me, that this would be something you would have to provide yourself. When setting up the sofa beds, we discovered that there was crisps and party items from previous guests which we had to clean ourselves. Which wasn’t ideal considering the fact we had a reservation at 17:00 and had only just gained access to the property at 16:50. When leaving the property the next morning, cleaners came into the property at 9:30 when check out was 10:00. Considering we gained access to the property two hours after the check in time, we didn’t expect to have our morning cut short also. We spent a lot of money on this property and didn’t spend a lot of time there due to the problems. I booked this for my hen party and what was meant to be a fun experience, put a dampener on the mood of the day due to being cold, wet and having no where to take shelter.
