1 Merchants Gate - 2 bedroom, city apartment with private parking

As I'm recuperating from an operation this was a perfect property for me and my partner to chill . Beautiful property to chill has everything we required . Will return once more mobile to enjoy future stay here. Thank you Jill x

Really excellent communication on where the apartment was and key location. We came in 2 cars parking just for 1 but sent map of a street where we could park 2nd car. Lovely and clean, lots of supplies we could use (soap, shower gels, teas etc). Would highly recommend for a visit to york.

The owner was lovely and accommodating, made everything easy. The apartment was perfect, spacious with great facilities. Location was super central for exploring all of York with the children. So comfortable and homely. We had a fabulous stay.

The property was just perfect for our weekend trip to York. It was a great size and super comfortable. Having a parking space meant we could drive and it was only 5 minutes from the centre of York. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else when staying in York again.

Bed was so comfortable. It was so clean. Amazing extra touches made it really special. Fab welcome pack which gave us loads of information. Love the fact theres leaflets and taxi cards. Board games were a cute touch! Thank you so much for an amazing stay. We have tried to rebook already but the date we wanted was taken. We will definitely look to book again for another stay in York.

The only thing I didn't like was taxis etc struggling to find it. You have to really specify where you are. Absolutely no fault of the host obviously

The property was well located, clean and with everything you would need for a short ( or longer) stay. Jill, our host, was easy to contact and promptly responded to any questions. Free parking was a plus. Liked the fact that there were easy to follow instructions provided for appliances, heating, hot water etc. The little extras such as books and games were a nice touch.

It was lovely and clean, it was warm, and there was tea coffee milk biscuits left for arrival. The instructions were really clear and it was great to have a parking space. It was quite a short walk into the town centre. Communication from Jill the host was excellent, and it was great to be able to leave the car for a few hours after we had checked out. Lovely apartment, easy to get into city, very helpful and accommodating host.

Only one parking space. The cot matress was dangerous it didnt fit the cot and could have caused suffocation and it was too low for a mother who has recently had a caesarean. As a consequence the baby had a section of the double bed with the mother which was not ideal.
