1 Merchants Gate - 2 bedroom, city apartment with private parking

The host had thought of everything - hair dryer, kitchen utensils, extension leads, fans all provided. The welcome pack of tea/coffee and milk was a nice touch. The location is great - lots of supermarkets in walking distance and 15 mins to city centre. We walked everywhere. You can access the city wall walk within 5-7 mins walk. Host communication and instructions were great - easy to find!

A couple of times we were disturbed by noisy cars in the car park but that’s life!

Easy walking distance to attractions. Close to supermarket. Convenient parking spot. Good communication and clear instructions. Had everything we needed including a washing machine.

Shower a little tricky and couldn’t be used at same time as sink.

Lovely flat, clean and spotless with everything on hand we needed to enjoy our stay. We also got a great deal pricewise.

The only slight problem was that as an older party it was a bit of a walk into city centre but great taxi service and pretty cheap as well .

Very easy walk into centre of York,but useful shop/cafe nearby too.

The property was clean and within easy walk to York centre. It also had private parking which was great. We will be looking to stay here again in the future

The apartment is spacious enough for a family of 4 and it was close to the centre of the city.

A fantastic apartment extremely spacious , clean, stylish and lots of attention to detail. Excellent things such as complimentary tea, coffee, and toiletries. The games were a massive hit! Jill the host was very helpful, attentive and always happy to answer any questions.

Only one thing which was not to our liking and it is purely personal preference with children was the dinning chairs. My children were not comfy sitting on them with the wicker style seats. But absolutely nothing wrong with them just not to my children’s liking.
