Isla's Ridge - A CGH Earth SAHA Experience

The location was surreal and the peace, quite and the beauty of its surroundings. The property is located on the tip of the ridge just makes you feel free and in tune with nature. Time slows down and unlike other hotels or stays it is not noisy or over polished. It feels true and authentic. Makes for a relaxing time. The hospitality was brilliant. There was personal care taken for everything. The host or the property incharge Ms Shiny is a warm and loving person made us feel at home. Was very happy that we stayed at this property really had a good time with my family

Well only one thing that comes to mind is that the bathroom in the room was only separated by a curtain and there is no door. Some sort of partition could be looked at to address this issue

Islas ridge Probably one of the most beautiful locations I have ever stayed in. It’s four rooms perched at the corner of a ridge overlooking a green valley far below. The 8 acre property allows for enough space to wander and admire the resident ponies and chickens. The rooms are large and very tastefully appointed with every room having the same view over the valley. Your food is served at two picnic tables outdoors or at a lovely large table. And the staff makes it a point to set up atleast one tea on cushions right by the ridge - one of the most magical evenings we’ve spent. The food is outstanding, cooked up by the resourceful Ramdas (who was happy to make what we requested on the first two days when it was just us on the property). Most of it locally sourced with the bread and jam made in house. Shiny, the resort manager, was the perfect example of what hospitality should look like - warm, attentive, informative and concerned about our propensity to wander off without letting her know where we were headed. I’ll happily come stay at any resort she’s managing. All the staff were gentle and friendly - special call out to Vignesh who’d anticipate and address our needs. Muthumeena and Bhumika were the sweetest housekeeping team we’ve met and would leave our rooms spotless. Now here’s to what could be improved - all of this is addressed to CGH (there’s nothing that the staff needs to change) and written with the orientation that I’d like to come back and stay. 1. The geyser in the room is tiny. It’s impossible to take a hot shower….anything longer than a minute and you’re in cold territory, not even luke warm. We had to resort to filling up a bucket with warm water. Extremely good for the environment but not what I’d like to do on a holiday. 2.

This is a gem of a boutique hotel in one of the remotest locations in the Palani Hills. However, if you make the journey, you will be rewarded with the most amazing views and natural environment there is. The design and the ambience are great, quite unique in this part of the world. Just sit on one of the benches, and a herd of gaur, langurs, and flocks of birds come by. The nice library is a bonus.

The place is isolated, and the food is rather basic for the price they charge. The pool is not really usable as the gaurs use it regularly for drinking. Although seeing the huge animals at such proximity is quite a treat. Overall, I had a sense that it is quite overpriced.

The location, attentiveness of manager, ambiance of design

I recently stayed at Isla Ridge and had an absolutely lovely experience. The property is incredibly beautiful—tucked away in nature, offering so much comfort, peace, and a true break from the noise of everyday life. The surroundings are lush, calming, and perfect for anyone who enjoys being close to nature. A special mention to Shyni, the manager, who was a wonderful host. She made us feel right at home, helped us explore the property, and guided us on the farm walk, which was one of the highlights of our stay. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was serene, and the entire experience felt so refreshing. I would love to go back soon. If you’re looking for a slow, nature-filled staycation, I highly recommend choosing Isla Ridge.

If you are looking for pure relaxation, quality family time, and a stress-free environment, this is the perfect destination. Just head there and let the people at the property take care of the rest. From the rooms to the views and the food (which deserves special mention), everything was exceptional. The journey itself sets the tone—you travel through peaceful village roads, and once you arrive, the calm atmosphere, fresh air, and the sound of birds instantly assure you that you made the right choice. Hospitality: The people here elevated our experience. I travelled with my wife and my 3-year-old son, and the care we received was unbelievable. Shiny: Wow! I don’t even know how to describe her. She was simply amazing. The way she took care of us—especially my son—felt like we were part of her own family. She never said no to anything that could be arranged. Her warmth, kindness, and attention made our stay truly special. I genuinely thank her from my heart and will always remember her hospitality. Food / Chef: The chef personally spoke to us before every meal to understand our preferences. The food tasted exactly like homemade food—authentic, comforting, and perfect. Having such meals with such a stunning view was unforgettable. Thank you, Chef! Raja & Stefen: They took us on a wonderful trekking experience. While I wouldn’t generally recommend trekking with kids, they made it possible with utmost care. They explained everything about the property and surroundings with great enthusiasm. ⭐ Overall: A perfect place to disconnect from the busy world and relax with your loved ones. I highly recommend this property to anyone craving peace, fresh air, and heartfelt hospitality. I would absolutely visit again.
