Isla's Ridge - A CGH Earth SAHA Experience

We recently stayed for 3 nights at Isla's Ridge – A CGH Earth SAHA Experience, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. This serene property has no mobile network, which means complete peace and disconnection from the outside world — just nature and tranquility. The surroundings are calm and beautiful, the people are warm, and the food is absolutely delicious and healthy. A heartfelt thanks to Mr. Tamilvanan, who manages the property with utmost dedication. He is polite, friendly, and deeply professional, ensuring our safety and comfort were always his top priority. A special mention to the chef, Mr. Winfin — one of the best I’ve ever experienced in all my travels. I’m usually quite choosy when it comes to food, but every dish he curated for us was exceptional. I enjoyed every single meal. I also had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Sajeev, who was handing over the property management to Mr. Tamilvanan during our stay. He’s a genuinely kind and friendly person, and there’s so much to learn from his graciousness. What truly touched us was the team’s thoughtfulness. I asked Mr. Tamilvanan if anything special could be arranged for my wife’s birthday, even though the property is in a remote ridge with no access to nearby shops. Despite the challenges, he and the chef went above and beyond to organize a beautiful candlelight dinner with a specially crafted menu. It was a heartfelt gesture filled with love and care. Since the property is blended seamlessly with nature, we were even lucky enough to spot bisons right from the premises. Overall, it was a truly wonderful stay — peaceful surroundings, exceptional hospitality, delicious food, and genuine kindness. A big thank you to the entire team for making our time here so memorable.

The location is just perfect to have a break from stressed life and work. Just stay there for 2-3 days and do nothing. Enjoy the mesmerizing view, eat good food, sleep, repeat. The staff here is very cordial. The manager Mr. Sajeev is a gem of a person. He made every effort to make our stay as comfortable as possible. And the chef made us customized food - what else to ask for! The resort is located on a ridge, giving you a view of the beautiful valley. It's a small property, so not a lot of people at a time, giving the much needed peace that you and the vibe of the place deserve. This allows the kitchen to offer customized food for every meal. The chef personally comes and asks what would you like to have for your next meal and delivers it with great love and taste. There's dining table literally by the ridge so you eat while enjoying the view. The manager tells a lot of interesting stories about the place, about the food etc. There's a library full of books for you with cozy sofas and pillows to just engulf yourself in stories and pages. The room itself is quite cozy, giving you the nostalgia of your granny's home from.your childhood. The washroom doesn't have doors though, so works if youre staying alone or with your partner, not a great idea if planning to share room with friends :P The washroom could have been a bit better, but it's designed like that only by Isla (yes the place is named after the owner and she stays close by, do ask about her from Mr. Sajeev), so resort cannot do much about it. All in all a verryyyy nice place. Will definitely recommend and I'll deffo visit again!

Hotel is located in unfenced private property and provides and opportunity to walk around the ridge. Maintenance and cleaning is outstanding, better than Taj or Leela do in their properties. Design is great, though the name of founding partner says for herself) Library shared by Isla is extremely interesting and you can spend hours reading. Cook is creative in international cuisine, and for us being Europeans it’s pretty important as other venues in India provide spiced versions of European food Variety of food is excellent, and it’s local produced and really healthy Manager of the property, Joseph, is focused to provide outstanding service for the guests, like in best lodges out of India.

The property is in very remote place and the view from the property is mind blowing

Shame that there weren’t enough vegetables for dinner. The cook was excellent but possibly underestimated quantities .
