Having to get our own drinking water because only 2 gallons were provided for the entire 8 days!

Room was very wet. Dehumidifier did not work

Very convenient location for visiting Volcano National Park - close to the park and easy to find. The room is well sized for 2 travelers - you may be wanting for space to put luggage if you have a party of 4. The check in/out process was simple and the host was very responsive to questions. Water pressure in the shower is good and the water heats up quickly, and the kitchen is well equipped with a ful size sink, microwave, toaster oven, and refrigerator, as well as utensils, cutlery, bowls cups and plates.

The property was very humid despite having the dehumidifier running. We stayed for 2 nights and towels from showering and swimsuits didn't dry after 24 hours. The amenities and place isn't particularly well kept - for example there was a cabinet door missing from underneath the bathroom sink, the shower gel provided was very watery, there was a sponge for dishes but no dish soap in the dispenser nor underneath the kitchen sink. There was hair left in the shower drain when we checked in and the bathroom sink water drained at a rate where the sink basin filled up from washing your face. We didn't know that the water isn't potable and found out after arriving. The welcome sheet indicated that a 5 gallon jug would be provided for us but we were only able to locate a 1 gallon jug that was half empty. Fortunately, we identified this early and we were able to get drinking water from inside the national park.

Beds were comfortable

No hot tub as advertised. No composition was made.

Was not as advertised. Not even close. Light blues blown, TV didn't work, smelled like mold, curtains had mold. Previous party before us still had belonging in the room. And there was trash left all over the room. 5 night stay and 1 roll of tp and only two towels.

I hated the entire trip due to this horrible room stay. The hot tub was green and gross. Had dirt and rocks at the bottom. Way too hot and then next day it wasn't even working. Belongings of others left in the room and even their used coffee filter and grounds were left for us to clean up. No room cleaning service and didn't even leave a broom for us to do the cleaning ourselves. Will not recommend to any even desperate for a room. Tried contacting the owner to fix this issue and they were no help.

General stores and cafes were nearby for food. I liked you could cook simple meals if you wanted to. This was a really beautiful and quiet location. Easy instructions for getting the key and how to turn on the heating. Hot tub was warm with good atmosphere, lots of pretty birds around it if you're into bird watching. Good Internet and always had hot water in the shower.

One half of the rental didn't have electricity and the property manager didn't warn us before hand. That half of the building included the heater so I had to walk around with a blanket everywhere. Had I known I would have brought long sleeves and pants. Per my friends, the beds were either lumpy or too hard (mine was great though).
