The Bay Tree Bed & Breakfast

The hosts were incredibly welcoming and truly went above and beyond for us! We arrived around 9pm and she happily cooked us two pizzas we brought with us and set the dinning table up lovely for us! The bedroom was very clean and cozy, with an incredibly comfortable bed! For breakfast we had a lovely garden view with a fine selection of breakfast snacky bits that we got to have along side a lovely breakfast she made for us! Definitely worth the stay, would highly recommend!!!

Ideal choice for a 2 night stay for a trip to Alton Towers

Exceptional service. Facilities were outstanding. Many unexpected extras. Hosts were very friendly. Gardens were beautiful. Amazing breakfast choice.

The breakfast was made to order each morning by the owner Anita. She is an amazing cook and host she made me a cake for my birthday. Also made fresh scones and jam. The room was cleaned daily and was spotless Anita made us feel so welcome would highly recommend the Bay Tree brilliant location and a very clean and tidy house.

Nothing as it was one of the best bed & breakfast we have stayed at can’t wait to go back!!

The site was ideal for our overnight stay to visit alton towers. It is a bungalow you stay in set up as hotel rooms. The room was exceptionally clean! There was dedicated places to put your luggage and shoes which was appreciated. Food offerings in the morning was good too. Everything you would need for a stay was accommodated for there. It was a short 10 minute walk to a few pubs in the town of alton so is ideal for a few drinks and a meal before bed.

On booking.com the room we stayed in listed the room at a standard rate for these days, id know because I travel a lot for work. However, my friend used the spare bed which was not made clear would be an extra £25 upcharge. This was not fair and is standard practise in this trade that you pay for the whole room and everything in the room is for you to use. We was put off by this a little, especially when we already paid for the stay in full. It was nice things were labelled as what was for what. The coffee machine broke on us unfortunately but as not the owners fault but user error, even with dedicated instructions on the wall to use it. Overall a great stay and would stay there again.

Anita was an incredible host :3 From pre-check in updates, to greeting us on arrival + leaving, our stay was exceptional :D The room itself was spacious and immaculate. We booked as we were at Alton Towers for a couple of days, but didn't want to give Merlin more money for their on-site hotels. The location was ideal, and Anita's texts really cheered us up while out in the gloomy weather at the theme park. The bedding was so soft and cosy, I wish I had it at home, haha. There was plenty of choice at breakfast, and it was all delicious! And to come back to freshly baked treats really was the icing on the cake :3 We would absolutely return here whenever we're on holiday in the area! Can't recommend it enough!!
