Downtown 1BR Tampa Cottage for 4 Has Power

It was well decorated, great shower head, great outdoor area

The property says, “downtown apartment for 4”. It also says that it has a queen bed, pull out couch, and futon on the one that I booked. There was only a queen bed, which was awkward to share with a friend of the other sex. I reached out to the owner who said that it was for three people and had a blow up mattress. This was not in the original description that I clicked on.

The cottage is cozy! It sits in back detached from main home with a private walkway. It’s clean, neat, cute and smelt delightful. The bed is super comfy and the patio is beautiful and enclosed with a private fence around property.

Unfortunately its hard to park in driveway. It’s very steep and brick, it scratched my bumper simply driving up onto it. Back in and out VERY slowly! I recommend parking on road in front. Also the door can use a curtain. There is a glass see through top.

Great property and decent location. Backyard was inviting and great addition to the atmosphere.

Window above the door needs some type of covering???

The owner was easily accessible by phone to straighten out a door code issue and checked several times to make sure everything was in order. Although off-site, he was very attentive. The property was recently remodeled and is in great shape. It was modern and attractive and had a full size washer/dryer, unusual for a short term rental. The internet service was very fast and the smart TV was a welcome addition, enabling us to watch our own streaming services. I liked that coffee pods were provided with the Keurig coffee maker and that there was a Winn-Dixie a block away for groceries. The outdoor sitting area with firepit was great, with recently completed landscaping.

The neighborhood is sketchy. Although the street is undergoing gentrification, and had several houses that were being rebuilt and modernized, the neighborhood as a whole didn't make me feel safe. The cottage itself is behind a tall gated fence all the way around and is very private, but I worried about leaving my vehicle at streetside over night.

It was so quiet, stylish and clean. Also the outside area was amazing. I liked this so much I’d move here permanently if I could.
