The pillows, I like one big one

The property was hot and small, no air conditioning. Too hot to sleep at night, the bed was small for two people. The owner communicated with us pleasantly and timely, however, the person they hired to handle the keys and check in/out was not friendly and not prompt. She didn’t show up for the check out, so we had to leave the key with a shopkeeper next door. We almost missed our plane.

Location

I was met by the key holder, the lovely Alexandra, we had exchanged many messages as my flight was delayed. The apartment was beautifully presented in a boutique style and well equipped with excellent WiFi. There was a chilled bottle of cava in the fridge! The bed was very comfortable and there was always plenty of hot water. There is a big choice of local restaurants within 5 to 10 minutes walk and a couple of small supermarkets nearby. The famous Maspolomas dunes are 5 minutes away and there is a swimming pool and loungers a few steps from the apartment.

This apartment faces south and has a front of patio style windows. Despite keeping the curtains closed, it got very hot indoors. There are two big fans but no a/c. I used the fans all the time, but it was difficult to reduce the temperature. You can leave those patio windows open as it was often cooler outdoors but you are next to the entrance to the main building so everybody passing looks in, a loss of privacy. Car parking is advertised as available, it is hard to find a street space in the afternoons. I can see that many guests have been very happy with this apartment, but I wouldn't book this one again despite the many positives. A suggestion for the owners, there is no welcome book with WiFi details, local information etc. The first WiFi signal I found asked me to pay, I declined and suddenly the correct Movistar one was available but I had to turn the box over to read the password.

No Aircon

The property was easy to find, the owner was very helpful, with messages and updates regarding my arrival and booking in earlier.They were on hand 24hrs via text message and very prompt with responses to any questions I had. Apartment was clean and fresh and fully equipped with everything you could possibly need in a self catering holiday, right down to first aid box, sowing threads and needles! Washing machine was an added bonus too. Large fridge with a good sized freezer and a lovely welcome gift of a bottle of Caver in the fidge. The apartment was located.on the ground floor overlooking the pool. The location of the comlex was excellent for restaurants and bars, and the beach and famous dunas close by. The Apartment complex was highly maintained and pool area was spotless. I had an evening flight home and the checkout time was between 11am-12pm, but the owner of the apartment was happy for me to stay in the apartment until 5-6pm which was extremely helpful. I would highly recommend this apartment and will be booking another stay next year.

Very good location close to beach and supermarket

When you check out, there is no place to leave your suitcases. We had to carry our suitcases around for approximately 4 hours. The lady who gave us the key cannot speak English, but the owner communicates well in English via WhatsApp.
