Sunset Cabins at The Oaks Woodland Retreat

Lovely peaceful Location. Cabins have been carefully designed with quality fittings to make the most of their compact size.

The location was beautiful, peaceful and picturesque. The cabin itself was very comfortable and well thought out. The outdoor space was very lovely also.

We had no towels in the cabin on arrival so emailed the address provided for any queries or issues but no reply received initially or throughout our stay. We used the telephone number provided the next day and spoke to a gentleman who stated they would be provided that day but they never turned up. Luckily we had a couple of beach robes in the van! The cabin could have been cleaner and there was a maintainence issue of a very loose toilet seat. We still had a very pleasant stay but felt customer care and response to.our issue was poor.

Nice location. Fair price but what you expect at least is a nice and comfortable bed for a good night sleep. Our stay was passable. If you are a young traveller who is short you would probably rate this 7-8/10.

Incorrect address or inaccurate on booking.com Not well sign posted. Needs a clear sign at the top of the drive and the correct name on google and address. Loads of unnecessary automated emails. Lack of signal made it harder to find. Bed is incredibly uncomfortable, cheap and thin with springs that dig into you. Did not get a good night sleep for the two days vacation we were there. Bed is too short for anyone over 5’ 8”. Bed is framed so you cannot even hang your feet over. Room smells musty. No towels (probably should have read this but fairly standard thing now days). Microwave was dirty and had not been cleaned. Toilet seat was broken. Clearly customers have complained many years ago but the faults remain which is not good enough.

Cosy and well equipped (bring your own bottle opener) log cabin in peaceful location. Lovely to hear the birds and the running stream. Had everything we needed for a get away from it all trip but still only approximately 5 mins by car from Braunton with its restaurants and cafes. Would definitely stay again.

The mattress was far too soft for me but my husband was happy with it.

Location was lovely, peaceful and cozy, my daughter loved her high bunk!

An issue with the plumbing and drainage causing a back up in the shower - not good. Contacting was easy, but there was no rectification for the time we stayed, even with me contacting 5 times. A full refund was processed afterwards however.
