Very relaxing quiet spot not overlooked

The door wouldn’t lock from the inside with the key. I wasn’t bothered even though I was alone but some may find it disturbing

"Poorly staffed and neglected the property"

Good location

m completely and utterly disappointed with the communication and management of this company. They have completely ruined our first family holiday by pure negligence against one of their properties. We arrived on a Saturday and by Saturday night we discovered a hornets nest in our roof- which we later on found out they were already aware of but hadnt dealt with it. We tried to contact on the out of hours number all evening & all of Sunday but their “voicemail was full” so couldnt leave a message. We finally got in contact Monday with a lovely, very helpful lady who just dealt with the admin side of things, who quickly got us moved properties. But even she was unable to contact the owners at first. They refused to come and see us to apologise and resolve the situation- despite living locally. We have filed for a full refund from booking.com due to not being able to enjoy the property and access the outside space- which sold the property to us in the first place. Hopefully, the problem gets resolved before any other bookings turn up. I very much doubt that though.

"Nice stay but disappointing customer/maintenance service."

Modern and clean cabin that was warm and cosy, quiet inside. Generally peaceful setting looking on to lawn and woods. 10 minutes drive to shops/restaurants.

The hob did not work. After phone and email communication this was not fixed (or offered another cabin) in my 3 night stay. For self catering accommodation that isn't within walking distance of a pub/restaurant I would have expected this to be resolved and it was quite an inconvenience. The first cabin (Ash) is next to an access track for other properties so although the setting is remote there were frequently cars driving past the outdoor seating area.

"Awful management of a security issue, could have easily been fixed."

Quiet and peaceful

The quality of the bedding fabric was quite poor, but I realise it probably has to be fire resistant etc. In the summer the cabin is so well insulated, but there is no base sheet to just sleep with that, so it was pretty sweaty. When I opened the concertina doors the next morning to avoid the same situation, I could not get them shut again. I was staying for a wake and had to leave to be on time, so contacted the number provided, who reassured me they would be closed and thanked me for letting them know. I removed my valuables in any case. I received no further communication, assumed this meant this had been or would be resolved, and was not told that no-one could support this action on any platform. I arrived back on my own at 1am, the doors were still open. Had I known this could not be done from the property and managements side, I would have popped back earlier with people to help me close them. I had to call two male friends to drive over and back again to Bideford to help me get the doors shut. For all three of us it was a struggle, and we managed by cleaning out the bottom closure channel to allow the mechanism to shut smoothly. I have been more than understanding in communication with the property management team via booking.com, phone and email. All of which have been ignored, dismissed, and there has been no acknowledgement or responsibility accepted for this issue. They have been extremely unprofessional, emails are poorly written and dismissive, and the phone conversation I had was never followed up by them. This is hopelessly frustrating when considering the staff member on the other side of the phone was flustered, requested some time to read over this case and the issue, as he had never seen anything about it before. There is no real communication between people, myself and honestly I'm unsure how much of this has even been communicated to the owners.

Toilet seat lose apart from that it's perfect peacful place and it has 🐎 horses!!!!
