Devonshire -Sleeps 19 in 7 ensuite bedrooms great space for all groups

The property was as listed and perfectly suited to our group’s needs. The pub is a great little community hub and the locals nice and friendly - gave us some really handy advice on one of our walks (don’t try to park near Mam Tor!). Fiona was very good at communicating and reacted quickly when we needed some help.

Nothing - everything as expected

The communal space is great. Kitchen space was ideal. Huge dining table and lots of seating. Really great property for a group of friends with various families. Lots of cosy blankets in the lounge. Lovely warm welcoming pub attached

Was an ideal place for us.

Perfect for a stag do. We weren't the rowdiest group but it was nice being able to stay up listening to music late without feeling like we were disturbing anyone

Some hand soap and bath mats in the bathrooms would have been great. Not a big deal - but bring your own soap if you're coming

Kitchen really well equipped. Great table for large groups to eat and play games together.

Maybe change the table in kitchen as very large so made it awkward to get around and cook

Location great

Heat in the upper rooms not working so the first night was freezing! Hosts came to fix it but did not manage it until the second night. The sheets had been washed but a couple still had stains. I understand bringing your own towels but there were no bathmats which was a health and safety risk.

The owners were really communicative and helpful. The property was perfect for a large group like ours. The kitchen was well stocked and everyone had a decent place to sleep. The living areas were comfortable and spacious. It was super practical and no frills - just what we wanted. The owners were kind enough to leave us some goodies upon arrival which was a really lovely touch.

As mentioned, it was no frills and that suited us fine so no complaints. If I was going to be fussy then some of the mattresses were quite aged and not super comfy but this is all reflected in the price and it wouldn’t stop me from staying again.
