GBViews from the property were lovely. Had all the basic amenities needed for our 2 night stay
Damp & fishy smell coming from upstairs, perhaps from the heat and the bathroom not having amazing ventilation. We chose to sleep downstairs as it was a lot cooler as well. Property seemed to withhold condensation and with us staying during the heatwave, puddles began forming on the floor making it very slippy and wet - not too sure what the issue is here. Also had a massive thunderstorm where more water appeared so perhaps an issue with drainage also? We couldn’t have the windows open as it was so hot outside and also let so many mosquitoes in too. No fan included for the hotter months - this would have been good to have. We were not provided with the check in instructions upon arrival which was a little frustrating as we then had to phone the host to get all this information. Not sure what happened communication wise with booking.com and the host here. Host was helpful with providing information eventually once we got hold of him. A few of the instructions were a bit misleading ie with the hot tub and just mentioning we needed logs and not firelighters or things to light the wood fired hot tub with.
GBRural setting. Well furnished cottage with homely details. Beds were super cosy and comfy. Garden is raised and next to lots of stunning trees and farm animals. Absolutely stunning. First time I’ve used a wood fire hot tub and honestly would say this is better than the electrics. It heated up beautifully which was perfect for sore Snowdon legs .
GBBeautiful property, perfect for a relaxing weekend away. The cottage was well equipped, comfortable, and very clean. The hot tub was fantastic and added to the whole experience. Peaceful surroundings and a great place to switch off for a few days.
The only minor downside for us was that the toilet was upstairs, so after using the hot tub we had to walk back inside wet to use the bathroom. However, we understand that this is just how the property is laid out, and it certainly wouldn’t stop us from staying again

Hard to name everything we didn't like. This property is not up to the standard it is sold as. It is only suitalbe for 3 people. There is a 4th pull out sofa but i would find it tough to describe it as a bed. The matteress was so flimsy. The electricy was on a metre you had to top up. When we got there it was flashing as due. The Hot tub they so fondly advertise is fuelled by wood, which is not provided. So you need to go into the town to get the wood. The town is not within walking distance. So even though we booked this for the hot tub we made the decision within the first few minutes we were there that we would not use the hot tub. There's a lot more to not like about this property than to like. They must have cats becuase the smell of amonia is very strong. Either that or it is very damp. The only nice thing about this property is the view. Other than that i wouldn't waste my time. The host was not a host. The number on the welcoming card was the cleaners and although she was lovely and very helpful, the host would not answer our call. He did however send me a message saying he was very busy. In the end the cleaner got us alternative accommodation because we felt for health reasons we could not stay here. So not only did we pay for this property we also had to pay and extra €1000 for alternative accommodation. So all in all a total rip off and not worth the money.
GBGreat location to visit local area.
Had I read this honest review before choosing the property, I would have chosen another. I paid £120 as part of the cost of my stay to cover the cost of cleaning. There was rubbish in the garden, dirt behind furniture and a pair of dirty underwear under the bed in the main bedroom. When I arrived, the bin was overflowing with ripped open bags (by animals), dirty nappies, a used tampax and food containers strewn over the floor. To avoid this becoming worse, I cleared this up and placed it in black bin bags. When a second bin appeared (I don't know where from but an extra bin needs to be permanent) on our fourth day, I placed them in there. The name of the property is very deceptive, the hot tub, which is up a flight of wooden stairs, needs to be filled with water before use. Then you can start to heat the water using wood that you have to buy. I couldn't be bothered with the hassle so I didn't use it. In another review, it mentions a damp smell. I questioned this and was told there was a leak that had been fixed. The damp smell is due to there being no extractor fans in the bathroom or kitchen. The windows cannot be opened and left on a latch. The rust on the small upstairs bedroom curtain pole, shows how damp the property is internally. The door to this bedroom cannot be closed, it is wedged open by the carpet. The bannister on this landing is very low and not correctly secured to the wall. The crockery is all mis-matched, chipped and some of the pans are in such a state of disrepair that they are beyond use. I was told that there would be a £3.50p per day allowance added to the electricity account. When I arrived, the account was in credit by 84p and not the £17.50p I expected for my five day stay. I added £10 credit myself, before money was added by the owner but as it was £1 or £2 at a time, I couldn't check the total amount added. For a change, I decided to stay in the UK and visit Wales with my family this summer, like I did as a child.
GBHome from home. Everything we needed. The hot tub was wonderful after a long walk.
GBLovely cottage in beautiful location.
Confusion over electricity on arrival (we were without) and no apology when finally sorted. Cleaners had to contact owner as no contact info provided.
