Worlds Apart - River Front Guest Farm & Camping

We eat at our own place, but the farm effect, dogs, beautifull lights in the evening and that big place around the swimming pool stole my heart

Made own breakfast. Kitchen is well equipped friendly and venue is superb. Everything The Fisherman’s Cabin was my unit. Cosy unit Birding was amazing. Midweek accommodations is superb. Well priced. Friendly staff. Thanks for a ready packed braai waiting for me!

Maybe a new clean braai grill. Pre-warning to bring own water. My fault that I did not think of it. Staff helped and bought water for me.

This accommodation canceled our stay on the day of our booking and whilst we were on our way there. Completely messing us around and wasting our time driving there. They are yet to give us our refund or answer back any messages regarding our refund.

My husband and I needed an escape from our busy lives, and decided last minute to book a mid week break away for 4 days (tues - Sat) being towards end of winter. We had the whole place to ourselves. We packed our two pups, booked on booking. com and off we went, 2 hr drive from somerset west (2.5hrs from CT). We booked the manor house with a fireplace inside and for winter it is a must. We had regular visits from Kahlesi and Kingsley ( 2 gorgeous well tempered ridgebacks). They are socialed and handled our Yappy jack Russel like pro's. The river front has a beach effect with a lapa for communal lounging and if that is not your vibe, the pool and bar lapa is located at the back of the property. Glamping tents, wooden cabin, modern container cabin, farmers cottage, manor house and a few other little spots scattered around the plot. The owner has thoughtfully provided as much privacy for all accommodation settings, even when located close to each other. This place is there to disconnect, recharge and be at one with nature. This space is great for private events or shared it with other couples and friends. Thank you to Monique & Kevin for being genuine hosts and the rest of the staff for always greeting and not being intrusive. We will be back.

There are one or 2 improves that can be made but not worth mentioning as the positives far outweighed any negatives.

Brilliant location and comfortable rooms.

The 4 bedroom house is not well equipped for such a large group. There was not enough crockery, mugs and glasses etc. A dishwasher would have been ideal.

Condition of the structure, very poor and not safe Shower could not be set Constant smell of raw sewage from the ablutions right near us Braai grid was about 20yrs old

The property was beautiful and very peaceful. If you just going to relax this is the place to be. Surrounded by lots of trees was very good for the soul.

The cottage we stayed at wasn't anything like the pics we sw on the site. The ones on the site was very bright and airy and our cottage was very dark not much light entering the place and even at night the lights were too dim. No light in the kitchen which didn't make sence. And also not much kitchen utensils. Not even an egg lifter. So for someone staying for longer than a weekend it's not ideal. As it also only had a bar fridge and can only hold a bag of ice in the freezer. The cottage was a bit dissappinting. Other than that the property is beautiful.
