Wānaka Mountain Views Guest Room --no kitchen--

The room was comfortable, new and very nicely decorated. It was exceptionally clean. Arrival instructions were detailed and easily followed. The host was very friendly, easy to deal with and quick to respond. I had a car and wanted to be out of the hustle and bustle of the town, so liked the location, but if you had no transport or wanted to be close to everything, this property is quite far away. Very easy, large and secure carpark.

In the middle of the hot summer, the afternoon sun comes straight into the room making it extremely hot, I had to keep the curtains pulled all afternoon, making the room dark. It was also a little expensive for a granny flat on someone's property, but Wanaka is generally overpriced, so maybe it is just priced in line with demand.

Nice bathroom and spotless room. Was good to get unit when few vacancies in the town.

Might have been good to have a TV.

Lovely furnished bedroom and bathroom. Coffee machine with free pods + milk in room. Fast Wi-Fi. Good sound proofing from main house. Free designated parking.

Didn’t bother us (as young and healthy) but may affect people with mobility issues. Pathway to guest room mainly loose stones so unable to wheel suitcase. Additionally several smallish steps to access room entrance so may represent trip hazard.

Great location - a 20 min walk into the town. Bedroom and bathroom were very clean and comfortable and communication was very clear and simple to follow.

Highly recommend this unit for your stay! Absolutely 10/10 in all areas. It is cozy yet modern. Bed was lovely and the bathroom is very spacious. The whole place felt exceptionally clean. The host provided very detailed check in instructions that made accessing the unit and property very easy. Will definitely be staying again!

Great location, lovely view. Peaceful street. comfortable and clean. nice bathroom. Lovely little touches like the candle and nice modern and comfortable bedding.

There was no air-con or fan and it got quite stiffling stuffy and hot during the day which did't cool down at all really and we found it hard to sleep. We couldn't really air the room out as there was no fly screen and kept letting in bugs. There was also no tv, which could have been mentioned. We could also hear next door quite loudly so that was a little uncomfortable.

Clean, comfortable room with a terrace and parking lot. Room and bathroom are new, well maintained like at home. Clear check in instructions, we checked in and out without problem on our own not having any contact with owners so even the room is part of the house, guests have full privacy. In the room electric kettle, Nespresso machine and really nice bathroom cosmetics.

Room was very clean. Had all necessary amenities required for one night. Bathroom was very clean and good sized. Mountain views are excellent from the room. Host gave accurate instructions on how to check in which was helpful. Deck outside the room is a nice touch.

Located a bit further from Wanaka lake (about 10min drive) but isn't a deal breaker. The only inconvenience was getting to the actual room behind the main house. The track is mainly gravel/river stones so if you have large bags it is extremely difficult to wheel it to the room. You will have to lift the heavy bag. This could be made a bit easier. But other than that no issues.
