Comfortable 2BR Home 10 Min to Durham Cathedral

Was in a very nice location and not far from the city of durham, alot of shops around the area and had everything we needed for the weekend

Didn’t get to stay here, lost all my money - booked as a last minute thing checked the T and cs all good. Once booked confirmation said that I had to pay a whopping £295 refundable after a week deposit or £49 non refundable- what a con! Small print t and c’s didn’t match the offer, no help or cancellation offered, booking.com also useless as they accepted no responsibility that the t&cs were listed on the advert online but not present on the app! So if booking on the app be very careful expensive lesson learnt and my money today down the pan.

The security deposit and poor comms

Helle Wohnung, an guter Lage für Ausflüge in der Umgebung. Wir haben gut geschlafen.

Die Küche war extrem dreckig. Wir haben uns dann entschieden, nicht zu kochen und das Frühstück „to go“ im nahe gelegenem coop zu kaufen. Der Hinterhof könnte mit wenig Einsatz sehr schön hergerichtet werden.

Size was good

Well there was lots of issue cleanliness and broken stairs and outside rail broken too big hole in the ground in garden No cleaning was done bathroom covered in some weird flies And was rubbish in draws and old ice left in freezer Beds were so uncomfortable had a big gap in one of them as in two beds together how ever advertised as two doubles There no plus near bed so has lamps but could only use one and in the second room had to have extension lead to plug anything in Outside area was clean Also in the living space was a glass with dead flowers in

Quiet close Durham city

The house had been recently renovated to a good standard. It was clean and tidy and well equipped.

A Freeview aerial on the TV would have been a useful addition as my only issue was not being able to get live TV.
