Macs Shack, Two bed Chalet on California Sands Holiday Park - Sleeps 5, pet friendly, includes FREE pool passes - plus bed linen and towels included - only

There were a lot of amenities that I wasn't necessarily expecting to have included, such as microwave and cutlery and plates. There were even plastic plates and cutlery for little ones. On site we only needed to pay for food, electric and any arcade or supermarket use. So it ended up being a very good value weekend away.

This isn't exactly something we didn't like, but if we wanted a takeaway there was only fish and chips and the grill restaurant, but we were travelling with young children so for dinners the fish and chips became the only option for us. There is a cafe and a pub further up the road but not really in walking distance for our toddlers which would have meant bundling up two pushchairs. Like I say it's not exactly a complaint or something we didn't like but just a thought.

Nice inside , clean, we had everything what we needed. Perfect location to the sea site.

All was fine

Location was good with indoor pool access included which was great for raining days . Chalet was clean and tidy when we arrived. Indoor pool with warm water was great.

Didnt expect electricity wasnt included during the stay and need to pay extra pounds a day ourselves. Luckily its now summer that save us cost from using radiator otherwise we must be panic on money. Linen and towel were not included which were another suprised to me but ok we can bring our own. meanwhile the day before our trip we found the list on booking.com were changed to linen and towel INCLUDED, but the contact person refused to provided the same for us. In the bathroom, while only foldable shower panel installed that cover half area of the tub, after 10 mins shower i found the whole toilet floor were wet and there wasnt any mat to absorb it. Later just realized the silicon bit was damaged on the last panel thats why! Again, no hairdryer provided dosent make sense as travellers come for holidays on beach / pool . My daughter couldnt dry her hair at night and slept with wet . Overall in terms of holiday club facilities , not too much for kids. Bouncy castle wasnt available during our stay and no playground for kids as well?! I couldnt think of any reason why people would choose this holiday club for their lovely trip?

Hello just a bit of feedback on the accommodation that we stayed in at the weekend . On first impressions it looked clean and Tidy and homely , however our first nights sleep was very poor due to the very uncomfortable mattress which had springs sticking out which made it impossible for me to sleep in ,resulting in me having to get up and sleep in the bunk bed with my daughter . The second night I had to put the spare quilt on the bed which made it slightly more comfortable. The sofas were not comfortable at all and there is no way u could have sat there all evening to watch the tv , it was like sitting on a park bench . The tv stopped working the second night we could only here the sound and no picture , it would have been nice to have Netflix as an option as the wether wasn’t very good and we stayed in most evenings . Smart tvs are very reasonably priced nowadays . There were no tea spoons and a bin bag wouldn’t have gone a miss . Also the heater in the bunk bed room didn’t work at all. I feel that the cost per night does not reflect the quality of the property .on reflection I was very disappointed with my stay . Poppy Oliver

Location and good value for money

Bed very uncomfortable and when using the hoover, the hoover stunk of dog and the ants were a pain!

It was a great location, loved the free swimming passes and parking is perfect. Good easy ways to get the keys and lovely hosts!

The shower is poor and lacks power, temperature is hard to work out too.

Nice and clean everything you need in a stay . Everything you need on site is a good location.

When booking, no mention of paying for your own electricity and bedding, which is £40 a stay, so more add on after the booking.never paid for my own electricity use on a vacation which cost me £6 per day. I received 5 messages and emails about bedding, and i would be charged if i slept on the beds without covers, which made it feel unwelcoming before we arrived .

Was super cozy and close to the beach 🏖️
