Lovely Caravan With Decking At Carlton Meres Holiday Park In Suffolk Ref 60023Ch

It was honestly fantastic. There were 2 bathrooms which we really appreciated as a group of 5. The couch was amazing.

There was a residue of washing up liquid on one of the counters. That's the only negative thing that happened.

The caravan park looked very nice and is a nice area, close to where we needed to go and is good value for money. The WiFi worked well and was useful. It is nicely decorated and has the basics supplied.

The caravan was very hard to find, the signage in the caravan park is not very good and the name under the number of the caravan is wrong adding to that the TV had been left on making it look occupied which added to the difficulty. There were a few broken items like a door hook and light fitting.

The caravan itself was lovely, and the decking was great. Carlton Meres is really good.

It wasn't very clean, generally. The sofa bed is not usable, the mattress is so thin and the metal frame pokes through. There was literally nothing, like teabags, washing up liquid, a token dishwasher tablet.

Awful Experience – Do Not Book! We booked this caravan for 4 days but left after just 3 due to the unacceptable condition. The caravan was filthy, with heavy stains throughout. The exterior steps and approach were covered in algae and dangerously slippery – clearly not cleaned in a long time. We complained and received an apology, but they claimed they were unaware of the condition – despite other reviews reporting similar issues. They said we should have contacted them while on-site, but doing so would’ve meant vacating the caravan for a deep clean – not a viable option mid-stay. They refunded us just £50, which is shocking considering the state of the place and the early departure.

Comfortable caravan on a nice site. Check in was really easy. Lots of local attractions within easy driving distance.

A little more information about how to buy a park pass to use the park facilities within the booking info would have been helpful (park passes can be purchased at site Reception, for using pools etc).

It was excellent and exceeded our expectations. More a mobile home than a caravan. Very comfortable, clean and well equipped. The location is beautiful :)

Great location. Lovely size. Most of what we needed was supplied and there was ample storage space.

It wasn’t very clean. Everything in the drawers and cupboards needed a good scrub. There was a pan which had been used for cooking bacon or something in literally just put into the cupboard once it had cooled. Although it looked clean, the room with the two single beds in smelled damp. Some of the decking edge on the stairs had fallen off.

The site was well kept.

The trip was a little frustrating as they do not allow dogs in any part of the club house, so we were unable to eat there. There appear to be quite a large number of people living on site who site off to work very early and set our dog off barking. The shop was poorly stocked.
