Great location and with everything you need

Needs a deep clean, everywhere was dusty, we put blankets over the sofa to sit on it as covered in bits. Contacted owners and said would contact cleaning company

clear instructions sent from the owner before arriving to allow us to easily get into the property. Nice area, easy parking out front. Well equipt kitchen, comfy beds, decent size rooms, quiet neighborhood with no outside noise in the evenings. Decorated nicely and had everything we needed for our weekend.

The cleaners could maybe do with going around the place a bit better. Under the tv unit was covered in dust. There are cobwebs all over the ceiling that could be easily reached with a long duster. There were finger prints all over the glass patio doors, and around the shower head etc is a bit grubby. When we arrived there was no instructions as to where the router was for wifi or the password. This also happened to be turned off at the wall. Also, the boiler was switched off so the house was sitting at 14 degrees and was absolutely freezing. Not great for arriving at 11pm at night with 2 very tired young kids that had travelled from Scotland. The owner did get back to me and was good with communication, explaining that the boiler may have been off due to a power cut last week. I really think that when you have guests coming, someone should be checking the day of their visit or at least the day before to check that everything is in order for them arriving. A little more attention to detail would also have made us feel more at home, and more comfortable in the property. For example, half empty shower gel tubs in the bathroom, and cans of coke, pack of onions and a lime in the fridge make you feel like you are living in someone elses house. Full bins outside the kitchen window, and basically whatever left over tea, coffee, and sugar sachets they have lying around doesn't really make you feel catered for.

Didnt get any sleep the mattresses felt every spring which made my back and hips ache all week...black damp and mould all over the bathroom and bins were spilling out with loads of cigarette ends all over the back yard had to put the bin in backlyard due to smell. If the mattresses were decent and mould from bathroom was gone probably rent here again as we're up every year to see family

The actual property is nice - with a few improvements it could be very nice.

Property not as per pictures - sofa shows lots of cushions - none so very difficult to sit comfy on. No mirror in second bedroom although pics show there is one. Main bedroom very flimsy curtain no black out so light in bedroom from 5am - Bathroom needs updating - chipped cups and plates. No utensils for cooling eg basic spatula or fish slice. Used washing up sponge left and garden covered in fag ends, and weeds and an inside wooden table and chairs being usedfor garden table. Outside bins were full of rubbish. For the price would have expected better standard. One of dining chairs inside broken.
