Nikau Hotel El Cuyo - Adults Only

This stop was not planned as we were in Tulum and the beaches were not very nice and had a lot of sargassum we looked for an alternative and we found El Cuyo and this amazing hotel Nikau. It has nothing to do with Tulum. The beach was long and clean and had nothing of sargassum. There isn’t any beach clubs but that is a good thing, as we can sit and lay anywhere and literally be on our own! The hotel was exclusive and quiet with amazing decor and good vibes. The staff were super friendly and helpful and the cocktails at the were so yummy and fresh! We hope to come back soon and stay much longer than just one night.

Stylish, Relaxing, and Exceptional Service This place in El Cuyo was such a gem! It had a super cool, laid-back vibe—like a hip boutique hotel with a tropical, beachy feel and just a touch of Tulum style. The aesthetics were beautiful and calming, and the pool area was the perfect spot to unwind. Breakfast was delicious every morning, and the front desk concierge was amazing—friendly, helpful, and full of great local suggestions. They really went out of their way to help us with anything we needed, which made our stay so much easier and more enjoyable. The quality of the property is top-notch, and it’s clear the owner truly cares about the guest experience. You can feel the love and attention to detail. Highly recommend this spot if you're looking for a stylish and peaceful stay in El Cuyo!

Very easy to find just across the beach, 5 minutes or so nearby to a variety of options to have a great meal and the property it's what we look for to escape from the city. Quiet, simple but with a great taste.

There's no door at the bathroom

I had booked this hotel for a couple days of relaxation and to say they delivered is an understatement. It was everything I was hoping for and I’d make the trip to El Cuyo again just to enjoy this hotel another time

Nothing - the whole place is perfectly done

The hotel was right across from the beach so easy to go for a walk on the beach, watch the sunset and the full moon. It wasn't too far from town. We did have a car so chose to drive when we went into town. The hotel was comfortable and very esthetically pleasing. Federico at the reception was very pleasant and helpful.

The only hiccup we had was the coffee maker on our second night. The first room we stayed in, had good coffee and coffee maker. The second night we had a different room. Coffee maker would not stop pouring so my husband unplugged it. When I tried it, it spilled from underneath the machine and coffee tasted like dirty water.
