Fab - Bamboo Hut with Open Shower

Great little tree house room with everything you need. The room is in the owners’ garden and they have made a real effort to create a special place to stay and a great dining area outside too. The views are beautiful and the food provided was very tasty

Nothing not to like but need to be aware you need to have transport or ask the owners to organise it for you. We loved the peacefulness

Fantastic bamboo hut in a beautiful location amongst the jungle. The host and his family were excellent, delicious homecooked meals, and helped us to book tours etc around the Munnar area (the location means that a cab/jeep is needed really to get around). The outdoor shower and bathroom is a fantastic experience also!

Loved the peacefulness of the location and the uniqueness of the construction and careful consideration in putting the space together. The meals (breakfast and dinners) were very delicious. The hosts were very generous, friendly and helpful. We highly recommend for those looking for a less typical and alternative place to stay. We'll definitely come back.

Only thing to call out is the hot water only comes from the tap and not the shower so you'll need to use a bucket to shower. Typical for these areas.

This is a truly exceptional place to stay for a few days in the Munnar area. The bamboo hut was clean, spacious and comfortable with a stunning view over the surrounding forested hills. We spent several hours simply gazing out from the balcony, enjoying a couple of drinks and taking in the view. The outdoor bathroom, as mentioned in other reviews, is a real highlight with the shower located between tall vine covered trees. Home cooked food was available at the accommodation - which was excellent and very reasonably priced. Our host, Anurag, was incredibly helpful in arranging supplies and transport/tours around Munnar. He put us in touch with Alphonsa Travels, who I would highly recommend if interested in doing tours around the area. All in all, a memorable few days - I can't recommend this place highly enough!

What a truly hidden gem of a place. So cosy so peaceful and quiet. A magical experience. Enveloped in nature, quite secluded but safe not far from the owners family home who gave us space to enjoy surroundings. The meals the family made for us were absolutely lovely. The open shower is also a great idea. We loved every second of our stay and would come back again and again. A highlight of our Kerala trip.

We didn't realise it was so far outside of Munnar - so be aware it it's about 15+ km! It's worth arranging tours etc so you aren't isolated
