Light House View Inn - Galle Fort

Staff were incredibly helpful. She even met us at the door at 2am as we drove straight from the airport! Very kind. Everything was beautifully made and excellent facilities. It was nice to have a balcony overlooking the water. Great location, close to the fort and lots of excellent restaurants. The train and bus station are a short 5min walk. Highly recommend.

Location was very cool, nice view of the lighthouse and close to all the lovely shops, cafes and restaurants of the fort.

It’s a very quiet place to stay. Except for the mosque right next door with half a dozen loud speakers on the roof calling to prayer at 5am. Yikes. The aircon was struggling to keep the room cool, not sure if it needs filters cleaned, but we had a very warm night and bitten by mozzies also.

Great location within the fort walls opposite the lighthouse. Rooms are within close walking distance to everything. Owner was friendly and helpful with parking. Room was spacious with nice balcony. WiFi was excellent for working online.

Not quite as advertised- it's not a whole apartment but 2 separate rental rooms. No private parking but can find spaces nearby

The check inn servive was awesome i went there to checkinn at 3am in the morning but they are really happy to check inn us even that time really great and they even allowed me late checkout as the next guest was schedule to arrive in night, in the afternoon they gave me a nice coffee and an authentic srilankan tour.the room was really big with all facilities need and a private villa only for us at this unbelieveable price thanks a lot

De locatie was wel mooi, dicht bij de vuurtoren. De oproep tot gebed van de moskee om 4u30 moet je wel voor lief nemen. Mooie veranda.

Volgens het aanbod is er een keuken voor gasten, maar die mag je niet gebruiken (enkel voor koffie of thee). We zagen bij het betreden van de keuken meteen een kakkerlak. We konden ons ook niet van de indruk ontdoen dat het niet echt proper was. Je dient er ook rekening mee te houden dat de uitbaters soms in de ruimte zijn die ze aan jou verhuren.

Everything was amazing. Mrs A is super helpful and friendly. She organised a special excursion and our return taxi home. The location is amazing. The lighthouse is in touching distance. There can’t be a better view. I literally lay in bed gazing at the tower. All eateries and shops are just a stroll away. Really great value for money. Check in is also super early which was helpful when travelling. I will most certainly become a regular.

Really not much. But remember to take cash to pay or be able to arrange a transfer. But it’s not a big deal.
