Studio 6 Suites Pocomoke City, MD

The staff we had interaction with were very nice. The rooms were decent. We can tell it was recently renovated but not by professionals by the looks of the paint job. But at least it’s clean. However, we booked two rooms so that we could take our six year old grandson to the pool since the beaches in Chincoteague were still closed from hurricane Erin. When we checked in I asked where the pool was located and was told it was closed for renovation. When we saw it, it was obviously never opened this summer and there are clearly no renovations anywhere near the pool area. Very disappointing to say the least. This information should be advertised on the site instead of selling rooms with a pool listed as an amenity if it’s not open for guests.

Very quiet area, room was all the way in back, no noise. Had our dog with us and convenient to take him out.

Room was not horrible but they advertised a pool that was not open, the grounds needed attention

Bed was new and cold ac but very loud . Pillows were soft but reeked of metal. Smelled

TV did not work at all or was snowy, no tv 1st day. Tub was all stained along with new towels. Towels were cheap and stained, not cotton. No coffee maker or complementary shampoo/condition. A/C smelled like cigarette smoke. Water smells like metal pipes. Scared to brush teeth or shower with water. Entire bathroom smelled like metal/iron. Sheets smelled like metal and made us itch, get no sleep. Loud A/C unit. Door hard to open and close. Not sealed, bugs got in. Refrig was full-size! Was not a suite at all. Pool was not working at all ever! Lobby had cold coffee, no snacks or breakfast. Hours were short for staff. Had to go thru 6 rooms before getting one that was no hot, smelled awful like fish/cugarrette smoke and had working a/c. Just to find out tv not working! Called asap. No tv until next day. Other rooms had tv. Price of room was too high. Not advertised as a motel 6 or I would never have booked it. Flies and gnats kept appearing in room for no reason. Could hear kids running around in room above. Complained, did not stop. Only finished rentable rooms in far back of bldg were available. People smoking marijuana outside my room by ac vent! Scary to stay at this motel! Not represented properly. False advertisement. Not suites!, just cheap motel room. Extremely disappointed with booking. Lead in water is a health hazard! Water came out yellow, toilet was stained yellow from water. Tub had stains all around not attempted to be cleaned properly. Towels did not absorb water, terrible. Key stopped working on 2nd day.

Perfect stay for the occasion. The room was spacious & recently painted/redecorated. The hotel is being renovated & a few minor items could be touched up (for example, some paint drips & nail touch-ups, the grout & base boards retouched), but nothing that impacted a clean, quiet, comfy nights stay. The parking lot & general area felt safe (as 2 solo women travelers). The staff was very friendly & I will stay here again. Look forwarded to seeing the finished motel!
