Aurora Resort & Spa

This is probably our 10th time here and it’s always a great vacation. Fresh air and excellent food.

The rooms are a bit outdated, it feels same as 10 years ago. A bit dirty in the room, cleaning towels left behind and lots of dust near and under the bed. Also, the restaurant staff is really slow. Sometimes we waited for 20 minutes for a coffee. Needs some improvements there.

location, perfect nature

The breakfast was very poor and in very small quantities. Since there were no guests in the hotel, the breakfast was a la carte, but attention should be paid to the quantity and quality.

Die wunderschöne Anlage selbst sowie die Gärtner, die diese pflegen, verdienen eine 12+ Bewertung. Die Lage oberhalb des Stausees im Wald ist herrlich und ruhig. Das Personal war durch die Bank sehr freundlich. Insgesamt guter 3-Sterne-Standard.

Leider sind die Gebäude schon sehr in die Jahre gekommen, man merkt, dass zwar immer wieder einmal punktuell etwas erneuert wurde, aber es muss bald eine Generalsanierung her. Stattdessen wird am Gelände des ehemaligen Tennisplatzes ein komplett neuer Korpus hochgezogen. Vom „Streichelzoo“ sind nur noch zwei Pferde und ein paar Rehe übrig. Nervig war auch, dass der SPA-Bereich zwar inklusive war, man sich aber für einen nur 1-Stündigen Slot anmelden musste. Zu unserer Ankunft war nur noch jener um 20 Uhr verfügbar.
