"Nice flat with garage in a convenient area"

8.0

This is a nice flat with two bedrooms and two bathrooms one of which is en-suite. There also is a garage underneath with a dedicated parking space that was a real bonus. Both bedroom windows go out to a courtyard so it was really quiet even though the flat itself was only just off the main road. It's easy to walk to the main city centre but there are also some restaurants and pubs and a local Tesco nearby. Communication with the owner was great

There is a slight damp smell coming from the en-suite bathroom but once the door was closed, it wasn't noticeable in the bedroom

"Good location for local amenities, good for young people as you need to be quite fit to take the stairs."

6.0

It was in a good location, there was a coffee machine, it was lovely and quiet. The beds were comfortable.

The bathroom was not to the standard of cleaning I would want, the car park was at the back and quite isolated, the stairs were very steep. There was a hole in the en-suite which was covered over by a wooden grate.

"Excellent location and very comfortable bedding / towels. Very clean! Excellent communication"

8.0

Beds and bedding very comfortable. Excellent location and great instructions to get into the property. Good communication.

Could do with chopping board. We didn’t cook much so wasn’t too big a deal. But if a longer stay I’d want better cooking utensils- maybe also wooden spoon.

"Quiet hideaway with a great courtyard and excellent facilities."

9.0

Everything we needed was provided and available. Both bedrooms had comfortable mattresses and bedding. Plenty of hanging and shelf storage, but perhaps looking at adding some drawer storage for clothing might be something to consider in the future. Both showers were easy to operate and had decent water pressure. The bath looked to be quite shallow in the photos, but we were pleasantly surprised when we arrived and saw that it was deeper than first imagined. The cooking facilities were more than suitable for our needs for the weekend. The apartment was quiet, as was the entire block, and the view straight onto the inner courtyard was awesome. The window blinds did a good job of keeping the daylight at bay when we needed sleep. Plenty of space in the apartment. We never felt like we were tripping over furniture or having to perform any awkward moves around things. Having the underground parking space was a welcome benefit as well. We hope to be back for Easter 2027.

Those stairs in the entryway. I'm aware that we were informed that there were stairs, but when looking at the photos, it gives the impression that the apartment is ground level. When you enter the main building from Victoria Street, you'll have 2 flights of stairs to contend with to get to the first floor, which is where the apartment is. Yes, we were forewarned about the stairs, but a photo or two to show the main entryway of the building would be appreciated. Perhaps some sort of storage tub or basket on the kitchen counter for the coffee pods would be more intuitive for guests, just to make them easier to locate when first arriving. As mentioned above, perhaps a drawer unit or two in the bedrooms (might need some reworking of the current furniture). Not a real issue, more of a nitpick. Please label the isolator switches on the kitchen splashback so people will know what switch links to what thing. Yes, the red one for the oven and hob is fairly obvious, but the two white switches are not as apparent. Same goes for the washing machine and dishwasher, as I found it mildly amusing that my partner kept opening up the cupboard door to one when she was looking for the other.
