interesting building, decor & contents

slightly cold in the bedroom & more noticeable in the bathroom but we’re in our 70s & 80s - younger folk probably wouldn’t notice

"Great hospitality on the edge of Exmoor."

The house is full of character. The breakfast was great (and the evening bar food looked good too). A real bonus is the residents bar and lounge with excellent hosting from Bruce and Sheila.

The listed "character" does come with some downsides. Creaky floors and ancient pipework could be a struggle for light sleepers.

Sheila and Bruce are incredible hosts, very welcoming. We stayed there for 2 nights and we had such a nice and pleasant stay. The house is really well decorated with a such a well thought taste. We also had such a great and tasty breakfast and dinner all cooked by the amazing Sheila. Also really worthy to have a glass of wine at the bar, such a lovely atmosphere. It feels like being at home. Can’t recommend highly enough.
