Rumi Hotel & Hostel

This hotel was a complete letdown. First, breakfast is not included in the price, and they charge an extra $4 for it—which feels unreasonable given the overall service. The biggest issue, however, was the air conditioning. The remote was missing, and when I asked the manager about it, I was told it would take two hours—this was already at 11 PM! To top it off, they charged a $3 “registration fee,” which honestly felt like a joke. Overall, poor service, hidden charges, and lack of basic amenities make this hotel a waste of money. I wouldn’t recommend it.

Tightly packed, someone stole mine 400$ (not sure at this property or previous one). Despite repeated requests AC remained off.

When you stayed two nights, they only register you for one night, which will cause you trouble when you leave the country. Don’t trust them when they told you “it’s no problem”. If you tried to argue with them, they would tell you not to “teach them what to do”

The lady who runs the hostel is such a lovely, caring person. I think she has had the hostel for a long time but still enjoys meeting people from around the world. This is my type of place where you can meet real travellers and exchange stories, adventures, ideas!

When we arrived Rumi exhausted after 7 hours long driving, we had to wait more than 40 minutes at the reception until we were told no room for us. We were transferred to another standalone room facing noisey street, the room was clean, with kitchen, but not what we wanted with a yard where tourists from different places can chat and shaing stories. What surprised us later was, after checking the price of new place through booking.com, the price is just USD 44, but we paid USD66! We had a feeling of being cheated. I contacted Rumi asking them to compensate us USD 22. An english speaking manager from Rumi told me the price difference is breakfast, i told her we don’t need breakfast then, just request to get USD 22 back , she was angry and wanted us to cancel the booking because Rumi didn’t want to pay platform fee to booking.com, we refused, because once we cancel the booking, we will have no where to ask for fairness. Rumi not only rudely refused our request, further more, even sent messages threatening us that they can call police, and they had been doing the business locally for many years… We were just shocked and didn’t feel safe after seeing the message.
