The Dog House, Mere

Totally dog friendly in every way.

There was nothing not to like.

Location was very good for our requirements and I would think for travelling east or west across country - especially along A303

We’d had a busy day and wanted to relax in front of telly unfortunately (possibly due to weather conditions) the telly kept freezing out on us.

The property was cozy and comfy and clean

What's not to like - it was comfortable, quiet, nicely furnished and finished with some nice dog friendly touches. Loved the blend of old and new, very tastefully done. Happy to return :-)

It was everything we expected and hoped for. Maybe some tasty biscuits to enjoy with a cup of tea after a long gruelling journey. There were dog treats, but no treats for the 'hoomans'!

The dog house is finished to a very high standard

My car sat nav took me to the lane the property was located in but we couldn't find the house A local couple in the same location had heard of the properties but entered the post code in Google Maps and this took us to a different location we returned to the orinal location and walked the lane finding the Dog house Suggest new much larger signs and relocate them on the opposite wall

The Dog House was a fantastic location to explore the surrounding area, particularly Stourhead (National Trust). The town centre, where there were sufficient local amenities, was a short walk away. The premises were clean and perfect for our needs. Our pet dog was made to feel welcome too!

Some strange smell was present and the bathroom was too tiny.

Clear instructions were emailed by the owner prior to my stay which were easy to follow.

There was nothing bad to say about the property & stay there. Hopefully I'll be back working at the Gillingham & Shaftesbury show next year (pending that ever elusive lotto win) and would definitely stay there again.
