The Dog House, Mere

Just about everything really. Everything needed was supplied. Very well presented and very clean.

Teeniest criticism and it’s the only thing I can find,was,the duvet could have done with being bigger. If I had not been alone, it could have ended up in a fight 😂

Incredibly cosy! We absolutely loved the Dog House. The little touches were lovely. It had everything you could need. They made it very homely. The bed was very comfortable. TV had every app you could need. No issues with the temperature (even though it was minus outside) as the heating system was easy to use and warmed up the place in minutes. Little patio area for morning tea. It felt safe and secure. We didnt want to leave!! P.S loved all the little dog touches!

Shower was small but the water pressure was amazing and the bathroom heater made a lovely touch.

We absolutely loved staying in the Dog House. Great communication from Jen and Frankie throughout, and the property is amazing. It's been renovated to a really high standard (great book showing the process), beautifully furnished and is clearly a labour of love. Excellent use of a relatively small space makes it feel spacious, and it's fitted with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Excellent heating made it cosy even during the very cold weather. Lots of thoughtful touches, including a bottle of wine in the fridge! Great location too, just 5 minutes walj from a lovely pub, the Walnut Tree. We'll definitely stay again when we're down in Mere.

Very well thought out, lots of attention to detail in terms of what visitors might need.

It is obviously set up for dogs and dog owners, which is great! I don't have a dog, I stayed mainly for the location, and would happily do so again. I was informed on arriving home that I smelled of dog, not that I minded. It was very clean, and there were no unpleasant smells at all in the property. But if you are a person who is concerned about these things then perhaps accommodation less dog friendly may be better.

Very comfortable, very well thought out using a small space . Heating was on when arrived which was great and the Christmas decorations were lovely and very tasteful. My dogs were very comfortable, and well catered for .

I found the code system for both the gate and the door , difficult and over complicated . On leaving it took me ages to unlock the key safe to put the key back and I was constantly worried about locking myself out . I understand the property is for two people but the lack of bowls and or serving plates made it hard to prepare a two course meal . I had nothing to use as side dishes and had to wash the two cereal bowls after using them for our salad to serve desert . I assume most of your guest go out to eat , but I always usually cook as I don’t want to go out again and just want to relax .

This was an incredible stay. I don't think I've stayed somewhere in so long that has SUCH attention to detail. They'd thought of everything to make it an excellent experience. Clear Comms, tidy and well equipped and super comfortable and calm. Would definitely recommend and will be coming back!
