Turbine Hotel & Spa

Very cool, quirky renovation of a power station. Pool location, excellent. We were initially offered our room which was small and dark with no Outlook so we opted for an upgrade to a suite which we were offered for a very small additional charge. Very happy. Again, excellent service and warm friendly staff throughout the hotel and in the restaurant.

There were a number of children when we visited who were quite noisy around the pool.

Pool area extremely impressive, staff extremely friendly and courteous. Great food & beverage options. Very welcoming & a beautiful view to sit and watch the boats.

The bedrooms we were in were small and cramped. 115 and 116. Small windows and felt very cramped and not much fresh air. Clean.. very comfy bed, decent bathroom , just I very high up window in the one room and I similar with in the other and no view at all. Nothing to look out on, so did feel a little boxed in

Ein außergewöhnlich gestaltetes Hotel. Der Chef hat uns sogar spontan eine Führung mit Geschichte zum Gebäude gegeben. Der Service war toll, das Personal sehr freundlich. Das Bett war bequem, das Zimmer ruhig und die Lage klasse.

Das Zimmer selbst hat für den Preis und die Sterne nicht überzeugt. An sich war es nicht schlecht, aber die Badezimmertür sehr schwergängig, der Wasserdruck in der Dusche war sehr niedrig und der Klobürstenhalter wackelt. Das Bad hat mit dem restlichen Niveau des Hotels nicht mithalten können, hat dem Aufenthalt aber nicht geschadet.
