Great room, easy check in, good recommendations

The breakfast was lovely and everything had been thought of. There was nothing more you could want in a continental breakfast. The location was convenient for a short walk to the seafront. Our room was lovely, beautifully decorated and comfortable.

Breakfast was for us to make.

The room was above a restaurant. That Saturday the restaurant hosted a party which went on till after midnight. Live music was played through an amplifier which accentuated the bass and reverberated through the bed and floor. Consequently we got no sleep until after 1am when the guests and staff finally left. We booked this room at the end of June. We were only told by phone on 28th July (the day before we checked in) that this event would take place. We reported the music was too loud at 21.45. Apparently this information had been sent to Booking.com app on 25 July which we did not see until it was copied to us by WhatsApp on 29 July at 2147 after we complained about the noise. The information about live music was given to us too late for us to make alternative arrangements at that time of year. The fact that the restaurant and the B&B business are linked and are known as Banks Restaurant & Rooms and Banks Beds & Continental Breakfast makes this mistake even more egregious.

Very clean, cosy, just what you need for a long weekend.

The bed was a bit small, a king size bed in the room would have been much more comfortable, but for a couple of nights the double was fine.

Lovely room, well decorated and comfortable. Very clean and excellent breakfast choice. We would stay again!

It was really lovely, clean and the facilities were good.

We found it a little bit tricky to find how to get into the property (although the host had tried their best with the instructions, we just weren’t great at following them!)
