Cosy house, a train spotter's delight!

The mattress on the single bed was not very comfortable. Blackout curtains in the bedrooms would have been helpful and made it perfect!

the location was fantastic for the village and train station

the price was a bit high but overall a good stay

We had a lovely three night stay in this very comfortable house which is within a five minute walk of the pretty village centre with all amenities. The hosts are great and the house is very clean and well kitted out and the snack basket etc was much appreciated. We had a lovely meal at Pulpo Negro and on another night a meal on the Watercress line which is literally 3 mins walk away. The area is great for walks, the Millennium trail a six mile walk starts within Alresford itself and the Jane Austen walk in nearby Chawton is lovely.

Very clean house, Perfect for our visit, a wonderful garden, if the sun shines, a perfect place for Breakfast or dinner under the vines. Tea and coffee and some extra's were provided. Beds were comfortable

on arrival we found the house very cold, it was an exceptionally cold week end . I later spoke with our host, and she will make sure in future that the instructions for heating are clear. This did not spoil our stay

The location was excellent - we were visiting relatives in the town We loved being next to the heritage railway too
