蔕 Heta Nozawa Onsen

What a gem this place is!! This was our first time in Japan and wanted to go somewhere that maintained a lot of the local culture. This is that place. It feels brand new! Comfortable beds, nice private bathrooms and all the amenities you could want. We stayed in the double room on the lower level. There is a waterfall right outside the room where all night you can hear the soothing sounds of the babbling brook. It was some of the best sleep of my life with that white noise in the background. We really enjoyed the private bath/sauna every day after skiing. The main gondola is only an 8 minute walk from the room. The bar downstairs was incredible, we stopped to have a lemon sour every evening before dinner. Kazu,who manages the bar downstairs, was our favorite! He made our trip so lovely. We (as Americans) wanted coffee first thing in the morning, and when we told him that, he brought us a nespresso maker so we could have it in our room. How thoughtful and special! Also, Akari who cleans the rooms was so kind and went out of her way to speak to us and offer any assistance about places to eat, etc. This place is truly the most comfortable and amazing spot in Nozawa. I can’t say enough good things about it. Aesthetically pleasing, accommodating, and easy access to the ski resort. Absolutely amazing.

Along a narrow lane, difficult to load and unload. Difficult to find.

Really enjoyed our stay at this boutique hotel. The staff are so friendly and kind, always there to assist and helped book great restaurant options. The private saunas are fab. Amazing cocktails at the bar. Location is great!

We had a wonderful stay at Heta in the family room, Kazu our host was very helpful and accommodating throughout our stay, Kazu also manages a cozy bar below the accommodation serving excellent cocktails and provided us with good company at the end of a long day on the slopes! Bonus features were the use of onsite sauna steam room and onsen every night and onsite laundry facilities We hope to return again next season!

Nothing maybe breakfast onsite would be a bonus for next time

The property was beautiful, cozy and peaceful. The bath and sauna was exceptional, as was the host Kazuo-san (and the rest of the staff)! We also really liked the bar attached to the hotel - Openbook Yama. It is a branch of a bar in Golden Gai - really cool addition to the property!

A beautiful studio with amazing aesthetics, gorgeous drinks in a cool bar, great location and super helpful staff. The studio got our family of 5 (three teenagers!) perfectly

We loved it.

Location is great, very close to the ski lift. Place is new and amazing.
