The Old Vet’s House

Beautiful house in a beautiful location. Went as a group of 6 and had plenty of room. The hot tub was an added bonus. The area offered so much and we enjoyed visiting the local breweries. The handy sweet shop, butchers and coop we well stocked too. The house was spotless and tastefully decorated. We thoroughly loved being here and would rebook and return in a heartbeat should we be in the area again. Whilst staying we visited The Forbidden Corner and the ice cream farm - both of these were fab too, there is so much to do, we were busy from dawn until dusk.

nothing - my only comment would be that there was no tea towel available. Not a major issue as we enjoyed going to the brewery to buy one. There was also a pub next door, we heard no noise from it and enjoyed a few drinks there with a lovely view - just something to be aware of.

Very noisy pub on Saturday night, people talking outside our window at 2am Sunday morning

Location brilliant

There was very little room around the beds, not easy to get around. Pub next door was very noisy until late on Saturday

Great location with restaurants n pubs within walking distance. Well designed kitchen with enough utensils etc Hot tub a great bonus

No parking with house. Not a massive problem as short stay car park 2 mins walk or long stay 10 mins. Would be cramped for 6 adults - settee seats 4 plus dining chairs No outdoor chair n table as no room due to hot tub Problematic TV- free view didn’t work so only stations available via Apps

Noise from pub and street.

1 Great location . 2 Lovely interior. 3. 3 generous double bedrooms. 4. Good comms from the owner. 5 High quality overall and would recommend it!

Not criticisms, more things to know- 1. Sofa only comfortably seats 3 adults if you want a movie night 2. No outdoor space as such, except a snug yard with Hot tub 3. Plenty of Parking just round the corners few metres away but not immediately outside 4. Noise of people leaving pub next door might disturb light sleepers

The Old Vets House was really great, we were a little apprehensive when we booked the property due to its proximity to the main market place, we thought that it might be too noisy, however it was not a problem at all. Actually, it’s central location is a benefit. The property is also a bit of a Tardis and very well maintained. Spotlessly clean throughout and equipped with all that you need. The Hot tub was a perfect place to dodge the heat and the huge sash windows were perfect too . Ewelina was a delight to communicate with and our stay was really enjoyable.

We couldn’t stay another night unfortunately.

Good location nice property

Not dog friendly at all and received multiple texts from some miserable tart moaning because we had a dog (the property says its dog friendly)

The location was excellent - central Masham off the market place. Decor, utensils, bedding etc was very nice. Hot tub in the courtyard was lovely.

Instructions on how to use the heating, washing machine, dryer, oven etc. The cottage is right next to a pub and there was some noise late evening when people were leaving the pub
