The Old Vet’s House

Great location, lovely decor and a nice cottage.

The hot tub was like warm when we arrived so we couldn’t use it the first night . Underneath the table it hadn’t been cleaned . Found sweets down the side of the sofa . The cupboard below the sink was hanging off . So my friend fixed it . For the money we paid we were a bit disappointed .

Stylish decor, great location next to main square, warm (we were there in the snow), super-clean, lovely bathrooms and kitchen, hot tub a real plus.

Mattress needs some attention in one bedroom as it seemed to slope down on one side. Generally very comfortable though.

Our 2nd stay in this lovely cottage and the hot tubs a bonus. Location is fantastic. We will be staying again.

Nothing. The only things that would make it better would be kitchen roll and tin foil for the ovens. Instructions for the cooker hob, but we didn't cook this time as plenty of places to eat out on your doorstep.

Loved the decor and comfy beds, hot tub and big showers.

It took a while to find the house as there are no house names or numbers and the lock box was on a different side of the door than described which was confusing. Also couldn’t find the outside lights for using the hot tub in the evening and the wrong Wi-Fi code is listed in the welcome book which caused confusion.

The interior of the house is beautiful. Super comfy beds. The downstairs bedroom was a bonus. Everything you need for a relaxing break is provided in the house.

The close proximity to the pub, just a few steps away. It usually wouldn't be a problem, but there was quite a lot of noise on the one of the two nights, which went on till late. It would not put me off staying again. If you are staying with a baby/young children it should be a consideration.

the large entrance area and wide door into the kitchen area made it very convenient for getting the pushchair in. the central location with good access to amenities. well lit. lovely interior features combining traditional and contemporary.

Would have liked milk in fridge and a packet of biscuits. Only airbnb I have stayed where there wasn’t any waiting on arrival. But not a deal breaker.
